3:30 AM: Many people had gathered in large numbers at the intersection near A1 Cemetery, holding chairs, flags, and flowers, choosing the best vantage points to watch the parade and march during the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. Some tourists had even gathered there as early as 2 AM to secure their spots.
1 AM: Locals and tourists from all over flocked to the provincial stadium area, A1 cemetery, etc., waiting and choosing the most convenient spots to watch the parade and march commemorating the anniversary.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan from Dien Bien district shared: "Our family lives quite far away, so we chose to leave early. Besides preparing food and drinks, we also brought small chairs so we could easily watch the parade."
Similarly to Ms. Lan, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao, a tourist from Quang Binh, said: "My group has 15 people, and we just rented a car to come to Dien Bien. Right after watching the special art program and the spectacular fireworks display in Dien Bien Phu City, our group rented a guesthouse to shower and eat, then immediately took a car to the stadium to wait to watch the parade and march."
According to reporters, the intersection near the A1 cemetery, A1 hill, and the parade route to the stadium is already crowded. Some people arrived as early as 1 AM, bringing all the necessary supplies. Along with them are numerous vehicles carrying visitors from all over, eagerly anticipating the grand celebration of May 7th.
