Mining Region joins the beat to celebrate 50 years of national reunification

Amidst the nationwide celebrations commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country on April 30th (1975-2025), the people of Quang Ninh joined the rest of the nation in their joy and pride. Throughout the country, from cities to peaceful rural areas, the red flag with a yellow star fluttered brightly. Cadres, Party members, and citizens gathered around large screens, attentively watching every solemn moment of the program commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country. Radiant eyes, bright smiles, and even tears of emotion created a beautiful picture of unity, patriotism, and profound pride of the people of Quang Ninh in the glorious history of the nation.
From early morning on April 30th, a large number of residents living near the headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Cao Xanh Ward, Ha Long City, gathered at the main hall to watch the commemorative ceremony, parade, and march celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country. Most notably, there was a large presence of veterans and young people from the Youth Union. Residents of Ward 4, Hong Ha Commune, Ha Long City, gathered at the cultural center as early as 6 am to watch the live broadcast of the parade and march commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country. Many wore shirts with the red flag and yellow star to express their pride and happiness about the country's development after 50 years of reunification. Early in the morning, many veterans from Quang Yen ward, Quang Yen town, arrived at the ward's hall to watch the live broadcast of the commemoration ceremony, reminiscing together about their heroic memories of the resistance war to win independence and territorial integrity for the nation. The streets and alleys of Cam Pha were adorned with colorful flags and flowers. Veterans and local people, dressed in military uniforms and elegant ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dresses), came to the cultural center to attend the ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam. Mr. Cao Chu Toan (89 years old) and Mrs. Pham Thi Le (88 years old, 65 years of Party membership) from Cam Trung ward, Cam Pha city, eagerly came to the community cultural center to watch the commemorative ceremony. Officials, veterans, and residents of Quang Yen ward, Quang Yen town, enthusiastically watched the live television broadcast of the ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country. Veterans, officials, and youth union members gathered at the Cao Xanh Ward People's Committee hall in Ha Long City to solemnly participate in the flag-raising ceremony and sing the national anthem, joining in the dignified and heroic atmosphere of the grand celebration. All hearts and souls were turned towards Ho Chi Minh City, celebrating the reunification of the country and the unification of the nation. Veterans from Ward 4, Ha Tu Commune, Ha Long City, solemnly salute the flag as the national anthem plays during the commemorative program. The people of Zone 1A, Cam Trung Ward, Cam Pha City, joyfully and proudly sang the melody of the song "As if Uncle Ho were present on this joyous day of great victory". The people listened with pride and emotion to General Secretary To Lam 's speech about the journey of national reunification, protection, and development. The red flag with a yellow star flutters in the hands of veterans in Cam Pha City - those who once faced life and death, fighting for the independence and freedom of the nation. The veterans, who once bravely endured hardships and were ready to sacrifice themselves for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, now wear radiant smiles on their faces, waving flags and flowers to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's independence and reunification. Emotion, pride, and strong belief in the country's development were the common sentiments of the people and officials of Tran Phu ward, Mong Cai city, as they watched the parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country. Veterans – representing a glorious era of war and sacrifice, who dedicated their youth and blood to independence and freedom – and young people – representing a bright future, a peaceful and happy life for Vietnam – sat together watching the ceremony. Mr. Tran Xuan Nhu, a veteran who participated in many fierce battles in the Southern battlefield and in neighboring Laos, had tears welling up in his eyes and was deeply moved when the song "The Color of Red Flowers" was played. Veteran Dang Ngoc Truong, from Quang Yen ward, Quang Yen town, who participated in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, was overcome with emotion as he remembered his comrades who fell on the day of national independence. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thuc (93 years old, Cao Xanh ward, Ha Long city), a Vietnamese Heroic Mother whose two sons sacrificed their lives in the resistance war against the US, was deeply moved when watching the commemoration ceremony... For her, seeing the country peaceful and beautiful makes the sacrifice of her two sons truly worthwhile. "Seeing my children and grandchildren present at the commemoration ceremony, I am reminded of my two sons." This was the sentiment shared by Mother of Vietnamese Heroic Martyrs Nguyen Thi Thuc when she attended the commemoration ceremony... Two generations, fighting to defend and build the nation, are filled with emotion as they witness this momentous event in the nation's history. Veterans from Uong Bi City who participated in the campaign to liberate Southern Vietnam reminisced about their heroic memories on this momentous day for the nation. The people of Tran Phu ward, Mong Cai city, dressed in red shirts with yellow stars, joined in the joyful, enthusiastic, and proud atmosphere of the whole country celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country. All shared a common pride and burning patriotism in this momentous historical event of the Vietnamese nation.
