Uong Bi Ward: Three urban beautification, upgrading, and flood control projects completed.

As part of the 88-day campaign to improve the quality of existing urban and residential areas, Uong Bi ward is implementing 20 key projects. To date, 3 projects have been completed, 4 projects have reached 80% of the work volume, and the remaining projects are being accelerated by the local authorities.

The road in alley 82, Phu Thanh Street, has now been completed and put into use.

With the goal of improving the material and spiritual life of the people, forming a modern civilized urban area, 20 projects with a total investment of over 108 billion VND are divided into 3 groups by Uong Bi ward, including: 6 urban upgrading and beautification projects; 10 projects to handle flooding and environmental pollution; 4 projects to develop cultural and sports facilities.

Phase 1 includes 7 projects, phase 2 includes 13 projects. To speed up the progress, households in the ward voluntarily donated land, structures, trees, crops, clearly demonstrating the spirit of consensus and community responsibility.

After nearly 1 month of construction, up to now, 3 projects have been completed in the ward, namely: Upgrading and renovating lane 82 Phu Thanh street; renovating and upgrading the National Highway 18A service road from Hoa Nhan urban area to Sao Vang urban area; upgrading roads and drainage ditches in lane 12a, Tran Nhat Duat street. In addition, 4 projects have reached 80% of the workload; the remaining projects are being accelerated.

The project of walking paths, flower gardens, and trees in the old Hoa Binh Guest House area is expected to be completed before February 3, 2026.

According to the plan, Uong Bi ward strives to complete the first phase of urban upgrading and beautification projects before January 15, 2026, to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party; the second phase before February 3, 2026 so that people can celebrate the Lunar New Year and welcome the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

After the projects are completed and put into use, they will contribute to improving the appearance of Uong Bi ward to become one of the rich, beautiful, civilized, modern, dynamic and sustainable urban centers. At the same time, these projects will be the driving force for development, contributing to building Quang Ninh province into a centrally-run city before 2030.
