Building new rural areas in Hoa Son commune: Propaganda work takes the lead.

Recognizing the crucial role of communication in building new rural areas, Hoa Son commune has prioritized communication as a key solution in its new rural development efforts. Effective communication helps people understand the meaning, objectives, and methods of implementing the tasks, thereby fostering consensus and unity in building new rural areas at the local level.

Given its unique characteristics as a locality with a high proportion of ethnic minorities and difficult living conditions for its people, Hoa Son commune focuses on propaganda work through various methods to change people's perceptions.

In order to quickly bring the policies and guidelines on new rural construction into life, creating broad consensus among the people, the commune government, the Fatherland Front system and the commune's socio -political organizations all focus on carrying out propaganda work regularly and continuously; ensuring diversity, richness and creativity in both form, quantity and quality of information on agriculture, farmers and rural areas.

Secretary of the Hoa Son Commune Party Committee, Lam Thanh Tung, said: The Commune Party Committee has assigned each comrade in the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee in charge of residential areas to maintain monthly meetings with the village and hamlet Party cells to grasp the situation, direct and supervise the implementation of resolutions of the Party Committees at all levels in carrying out the task of building a new rural area. Thereby, helping the propaganda work to create a spreading effect to the grassroots level, receiving the support and response of the people. The positive results have fundamentally changed people's awareness. In the commune, many good and creative ways have appeared, becoming typical models in the fields of environmental sanitation, security and order, poverty reduction, social security, etc.

Hoa Son commune is paying attention to the work of raising awareness among people in ethnic minority villages about preserving traditional weaving crafts.

Through the Fatherland Front system and socio-political organizations, emulation movements have been continuously expanded year after year, concretizing each criterion and indicator of the New Rural Development program into the activities of each branch and organization.

Since the National Target Program on New Rural Development was implemented, the units and organizations of the commune have focused on widely propagating to local people. Many diverse and flexible forms, such as oral propaganda, visual propaganda, through monthly internal information pages, competitions, branch and party cell discussions, through the radio and television system, banners and signs... have all been exploited to achieve the goal of quickly, fully and promptly spreading general policies and instructions.

The team of reporters and propagandists at the grassroots level also proactively performed their duties well, including the contents of building new rural areas in their regular tasks. This method is very effective because this team lives and works right in the residential areas, clearly understands the customs, habits, and awareness levels of the people. Thanks to that, up to now, each content, goal, and meaning of the National Target Program on building new rural areas has reached every person in the villages and hamlets.

Ms. H'Nguêc Kbuôr, Head of Plum Hamlet, shared that in the past, most people in the hamlet did not understand what building a new rural area was like. Thanks to the participation of the government, organizations, Party Cells, and the Hamlet Self-Management Board in promoting propaganda work, "slow and steady wins the race" so that people understand. The hamlet also integrates the content of building a new rural area into hamlet meetings and regularly propagates the effectiveness of building a new rural area through works and projects built in the hamlet. At the same time, it commends and replicates typical examples of donating land for road construction and contributing working days to build infrastructure works for people to see and follow.

Along with propaganda, Hoa Son commune also focuses on inspection, supervision and urging; thereby promptly recognizing, praising and rewarding outstanding collectives and individuals, good and creative practices in each unit and each residential area. Timely reflecting difficulties, problems, thoughts, recommendations and legal and legitimate proposals of the people during the implementation process.

At the same time, pay attention to training and professional development for the staff doing propaganda and mobilization work; strengthen the team of reporters and propagandists with good expertise, a sense of responsibility, a firm grasp of rich, concise, easy-to-understand and easy-to-remember propaganda content and methods so that people can clearly understand the specific and practical purpose of building the new rural areas.

Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the period 2021 - 2025, Hoa Son commune mobilized people to contribute nearly 2 billion VND in cash, donated 7,382 ^m2 of production land, and contributed 4,151 working days to dredging intra-field canals, cleaning the environment, building electric lines for lighting, building gates and fences for cultural houses, community activities, repairing a number of rural roads, and purchasing facilities for villages and hamlets.
