Specifically, the total demand for various types of stone for the construction of Component 2 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project is over 1 million . Of this, the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has allocated nearly 691,000 of various types of stone from quarries within the province for the project. The project also plans to utilize approximately 250,000 of stone from quarries outside the allocated area.

However, during construction, the project faced difficulties in supplying various types of stone materials because many large, key projects were being implemented simultaneously in the area, such as: Long Thanh International Airport; Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3; and Component 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project, so most quarries could not meet the supply demand according to schedule.

Recently, the Tan Cang 8 mine (Dong Nai province) has been almost unable to supply any material despite being allocated 114,000 for the project; the Nui So mine (Ho Chi Minh City) has already exhausted its allocated reserves for 2025; and the Nui Nua mine (Dong Nai province) can only supply stone for granular materials.

Given the shortage of stone materials, the Project Management Board 85 has proposed and is continuing to coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Agriculture and Environment to request an increase in the mining capacity of the Nui So mine in 2025; and permission to continue mining at the 3B quarry. At the same time, they are coordinating with the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment to adjust the allocation of asphalt concrete stone quantities at the quarries in the Tan Cang cluster to serve the project's construction.

Component Project 2 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project spans over 18km, passing through Dong Nai province. The project comprises two main construction packages. Currently, the total construction output for the entire project has reached over 2.9 trillion VND, equivalent to approximately 70% of the signed contract value.
