Speed up construction
After more than a year of construction, the Duy Tan road upgrade project (Bao Vinh ward, Long Khanh city, Dong Nai province) is entering its final stages. The investor and construction unit are striving to shorten the construction time to bring the project to completion on schedule for the Lunar New Year 2026.
As the main thoroughfare of Bao Vinh ward, directly connecting to the old Long Khanh urban center, Duy Tan road, after many years of serious deterioration, has undergone comprehensive upgrading since the beginning of 2025.

With a total investment of approximately 160 billion VND, the Duy Tan road upgrade project includes many important items: a 10.5m wide hot asphalt concrete road surface; 5m wide terrazzo tiled sidewalks on each side; construction of a rainwater and wastewater drainage system; undergrounding of lighting and telecommunications; and planting of trees along the route.
Mr. Vo Minh Dat, Deputy Director of Dong Nhat Huy Construction Co., Ltd. (the construction unit), said that the project has many underground items such as rainwater drainage, wastewater, lighting, and telecommunications, and these items are not at the same ground level and are being constructed in different stages. "We have to construct the underground items first, then we have to backfill them to ensure safety. Similarly, with the water supply, we can't cut off the water for extended periods and have to follow the plan, so there have been many instances of digging up the roads. We hope the people understand," Mr. Dat explained.
The complex construction process inevitably affects traffic and the lives of people living along the road. However, local residents remain enthusiastic and supportive. Mr. Pham Van Vuong, a resident living along Duy Tan road, shared: "The road was in disrepair, and now that it's being renovated, the people are very happy. It will affect daily life to some extent, but we hope to have a new road for everyone by Tet."
The land clearance "bottleneck" remains.
Currently, the project has reached approximately 60% completion. To accelerate progress, the contractor has organized overtime work, including nights and weekends, with the goal of completing the project before the Lunar New Year in 2026.

Mr. Dang Nam Phuoc, Director of the Project Management Board for Region 2 of Dong Nai province, affirmed: "The road has a very high traffic density, and the construction process will inevitably have some impact. The investor will require the construction unit to focus its efforts on completing the project as soon as possible, putting it into use before the Lunar New Year 2026."
However, the project still faces a "bottleneck" that needs to be resolved: some households have not yet agreed with the compensation plan and have not handed over the land for construction. Currently, the local authorities are still making efforts to persuade the people to agree and hand over the land as soon as possible.
The Duy Tan road upgrade project is one of a series of urban transportation network improvement projects in the old Long Khanh area that have received significant investment in recent years. Numerous main arterial roads have been repaired and upgraded, such as Cach Mang Thang Tam, Hung Vuong, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Thanh Thai, and Hong Thap Tu roads. All of these contribute to beautifying the urban landscape, improving traffic flow, and making travel more convenient and safer for residents.
