Attending the anniversary ceremony on behalf of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group were Mr. Pham Van Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, and other members of the Board.
Representing the province were: Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Ms. Vo Thi Thu Hoa - Provincial Party Committee Member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Ngoc Khuyen, Chairman of Petrolimex Gia Lai Co., Ltd. (Petrolimex Gia Lai), said: On December 9, 1975, the Quy Nhon Petrol Station (under the Regional Petroleum Company V) was established, which is the predecessor of the current Petrolimex Gia Lai.
Since its establishment, through various name changes, the company has consistently fostered a spirit of unity, hard work, and creativity; while also focusing on comprehensive investment in infrastructure, transportation, warehouse upgrades, and the expansion of its retail store network to improve service quality.
Currently, Petrolimex Gia Lai has 120 retail outlets selling gasoline and petrochemical products, along with a system of warehouses, ports, and modern facilities, fully meeting the fuel needs in the area under its distribution network. In particular, the company has strongly promoted innovation and the application of technology as a foundation, viewing this as a breakthrough solution to affirm its reputation and brand.
Business performance is steadily improving, with revenue increasing year after year. In 2020, the company achieved revenue of VND 1,651 billion, increasing to VND 3,200 billion in 2024, and projected to reach VND 4,177 billion in 2025.
Besides fulfilling the political , economic, and technical targets assigned by higher authorities, Petrolimex Gia Lai has contributed thousands of billions of VND to the State budget and consistently leads other businesses in the province in terms of the amount of tax paid. During the period 2020-2024, the company contributed 2,090 billion VND to the budget, with an expected contribution of 416 billion VND in 2025. The company also consistently demonstrates a high level of responsibility in social welfare and community sharing.
With excellent business results and numerous contributions to society, in 1985, Petrolimex Gia Lai was awarded the Third-Class Military Merit Order by the State Council for its achievements in the emulation movement to protect national security during the period 1979-1984. In 1991, the company was awarded the Third-Class Military Merit Order by the State Council for its achievements in fire prevention and fighting during the period 1986-1990. In 1994, 2011, and 2016, the company received the Third, Second, and First-Class Labor Orders from the President of Vietnam, along with many other prestigious awards.
In the coming period, Petrolimex Gia Lai will continue to comprehensively innovate towards modernization, smart management, safety, and sustainability, contributing together with the Vietnam National Petroleum Group to building a more sustainable national development, and Gia Lai province in particular.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang acknowledged and highly appreciated the operational results and important contributions of Petrolimex Gia Lai to the socio-economic development of the province in the past; he expressed his hope that the company would continue to improve its business efficiency, ensure energy security, and contribute more to the province. The provincial leaders pledged to always support and create favorable conditions for Petrolimex Gia Lai's sustainable development.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded a commendation flag to Petrolimex Gia Lai for its outstanding achievements in leading the emulation movement of emulation group No. 13 in the province in 2024. Many collectives and individuals of Petrolimex Gia Lai with high achievements in labor and business also received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation donated 3 billion VND to the Fund for the Poor in Gia Lai province through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province.
