This creates favorable conditions for harvesting and selling the product on schedule.

Since the end of July 2025, immediately after operating the two-level local government, the People's Committee of An Sinh Ward has held a meeting with agricultural production and service cooperatives on the implementation of the Winter-Spring Crop Production Plan in the ward. After reviewing the production land area with suitable soil, the People's Committee of the ward has assigned a plan to plant a total crop area of 386.51 hectares for the 2025 Winter-Spring crop. Of which: Corn 54.2 hectares; sweet potato 7 hectares; potato 147.6 hectares (of which Atlantic potato 140 hectares, an increase of 18 hectares compared to 2024); jicama 31.8 hectares; vegetables of all kinds 50.8 hectares; onion and garlic 55.81 hectares; melon and squash 0.5 hectares; flowers and ornamental plants 34.3 hectares, other plants 14.5 hectares...
An Sinh Ward continues to request the Korean Orion Company and the Institute of Agricultural Biology to coordinate in implementing the model of linking production and consumption of Atlantic potatoes, which has been effectively maintained in some communes and wards of Dong Trieu city (old) since 2012. Agricultural production cooperatives and neighborhoods propagate and mobilize people to grow Atlantic potatoes and register planting areas. After only 2 weeks of mobilizing people to simultaneously plant seeds to take advantage of favorable weather, An Sinh Ward has now completed the target of 142 hectares of Atlantic potatoes. In addition to maintaining 122 hectares in Dong Thanh, Binh Son Dong, Binh Son Tay, Bac Ma 1, Bac Ma 2, Dao Duong, Chi Lang areas, the ward has expanded the area in Dong Y area by 10 hectares and Dia Sen area by 8 hectares.
Mr. Ho Quang Hanh, Bac Ma 1 area, An Sinh ward, said: This winter-spring crop, I planted 2.5 hectares of Atlantic potatoes. After 1 week, the plants grew well and evenly. I have participated in the linkage model between Binh Duong Agricultural Service Cooperative and Orion Vina Company since 2012, and have benefited a lot, such as being provided with high-quality seeds, disease prevention drugs, support with modern farming techniques and guaranteed purchase of all potatoes at high prices. Farmers have never been in a situation where the harvest is good but the price is low, so people are very confident in production.
According to Mr. Le Van Huy, Deputy Director of Binh Duong Agricultural Service Cooperative, the output of Atlantic potatoes purchased by Orion Company in 2024 reached more than 1,200 tons, bringing in a total value of more than 10 billion VND. After deducting seed costs, farmers earned more than 7.1 billion VND, with an income of about 135-140 million VND/ha. Before planting the winter-spring crop this year, we proactively checked, repaired, and dredged the irrigation and drainage canal system; arranged an irrigation team for each area, and developed a water regulation plan to respond to climate change.

To ensure the progress of winter-spring crop production, An Sinh ward also directed specialized departments to accompany people to do a good job of cleaning the fields after harvest, preparing the soil quickly and neatly; increase mechanization of soil preparation, use of treatment products to increase the ability to decompose straw; ensure enough water for production. Instruct farmers to plant in concentrated areas; use fertilizers in the list of fertilizers allowed for production and trading, increase the use of organic fertilizers; apply fertilizers correctly, fully, balanced, suitable for each land and crop. Increase the application of biotechnology such as: Using disease-free plant varieties, soil and environmental treatment products, microbial and organic fertilizers, biological pesticides. The total planting area is estimated at more than 410 hectares.
In the coming time, the locality will promote safe production, save water, proactively respond to unusual weather changes and end-of-season pests and diseases. Along with that, it will aim to expand production models according to the chain link, improve competitiveness in the market, and form concentrated growing areas according to VietGAP and organic standards. Thereby, it will not only help increase income, but also promote people to change their mindset from "agricultural production" to "agricultural economy " in accordance with the objectives of the Project on developing a chain of key agricultural products at the provincial level until 2025, with a vision to 2030.
