Max Holloway's hard-fought victory became even more meaningful when he became the first UFC fighter to land more than 3,000 accurate strikes on his opponent in his career.
Despite being only 31 years old, the American fighter has 11 years of experience in the most famous ring in MMA. The former featherweight champion is famous for his terrifying ability to strike and also holds the record for the most punches thrown by a UFC fighter.
Former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar ranks second in strikes landed but is far behind Max Holloway with just 1,801 accurate strikes.
Another interesting piece of information is that Max Holloway has not lost a fight since August 2013.
Speaking after his win over Arnold Allen, boxer Max Holloway remained humble and said: "I tried to come here with the goal of winning all or nothing, but Arnold Allen hit me like a truck. He took me in the last round and gave me a black eye. My God, my modelling career is in danger because of him."
