Osteoarthritis is a gradual process that gradually causes the cartilage surface to lose its ability to withstand force. This disease is no longer a story associated with the weather or the elderly. Nowadays, osteoarthritis is present in the daily lives of young people, especially those in their 30s. A recent study in Vietnam showed that 30% of people over the age of 35 have problems with osteoarthritis.

Minh Nguyet (32 years old, accountant) shared: "In the past, sitting in the office for 8 hours a day was still "okay", but since turning 30, those 8 hours have become more difficult. My body started to speak up through pain in my neck and shoulders, sometimes the pain spread down to my shoulder blades. The pain not only ached when sitting at the computer but also came in the morning after waking up".

Le Huy (36 years old, driver) shared: "When I first started my job, every time I drove until noon, my neck and lower back would ache and my wrists would go numb from holding the steering wheel for hours at a time. At night, my whole body would ache, and sometimes when I changed my sleeping position, my neck would stiffen. Now I'm used to this pain."

Dr. Tang Ha Nam Anh, President of the Vietnam Association of Arthroscopy and Joint Replacement, said that symptoms of osteoarthritis often develop slowly and become more severe over time, often occurring in areas such as the knees, spine, shoulders, neck, fingers, ankles, etc. The cases of Nguyet and Huy are also common in many young patients today - those whose jobs require a lot of sitting and little exercise.

Osteoarthritis not only causes inconvenience in daily life but also easily causes later consequences for the musculoskeletal system such as prolonged pain, altered joint structure, and even loss of mobility.

However, according to the doctor's observation, young people today are not "keen" on preventing osteoarthritis early, most of them will see pain as a manifestation of stressful work. "Young people often relieve pain by seeking temporary treatment services or taking self-prescribed medication. Only when the pain is severe, affecting work and daily activities, do they start to care about specialized treatment methods," Dr. Nam Anh shared.

Osteoarthritis is a manifestation of the aging process, and aging is an inevitable process of the body. After the age of 30, bones begin to enter the early stages of aging, the production of collagen and joint oil decreases, reducing elasticity and lubrication in the joints.

The rate of joint degeneration depends largely on lifestyle and daily habits. Office workers with the habit of sitting in one place for a long time, hunching over, crossing their legs, bending their wrists when typing... have a negative impact on joints and ligaments, causing musculoskeletal pain, numbness and early degeneration.

In addition, little exposure to sunlight, putting exercise on weekends, and consuming a lot of fast food and sugary drinks also cause early onset of osteoarthritis.

Poor diet accelerates the process of joint degeneration.

Dr. Tang Ha Nam Anh believes that the age of 30 is the "golden time" to prevent osteoarthritis. Applying measures to protect the musculoskeletal system at the age of 30 can "buy time", help the degeneration process to occur more slowly, and at the same time minimize serious consequences for the motor system.

One of the first habits young people can start today is adjusting their diet. Dr. Tang Ha Nam Anh recommends that young people's diets need to have certain changes to provide the right amount of nutrients the body needs, preventing musculoskeletal degeneration right at the age of 30.

Many people believe that calcium is the most important factor, the main mineral in bone formation. Therefore, focusing on calcium intake is enough to prevent musculoskeletal degeneration.

Dr. Nam Anh said that this concept still has many shortcomings. Calcium needs the support of other vitamins and minerals to be metabolized into the musculoskeletal system, thereby effectively preventing bone aging.

As a leading musculoskeletal care brand recommended by nutritionists, Anlene researched and developed the MOVEPRO formula, which contains all the essential nutrients, tested and clinically proven to help strengthen the musculoskeletal system, effectively supporting the process of preventing bone aging.

Anlene GOLD 5X with MOVEPRO system is a nutritional supplement solution, supporting the prevention of early joint degeneration. Supplement 2 glasses of Anlene every day to meet the calcium needs and add some nutrients the body needs, maintaining long-term healthy bones and joints.
