Youth union members and young people in Ha Trung district are assisting and guiding people in making payments using QR codes from banking apps.
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, a group of authors from Ha Tan Primary School (Ha Trung district) came up with the idea of creating a model of the "Historical Dien Bien Phu Victory". This model won first prize in the 2024 Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth and Children's Creative Competition and received an honorable mention nationwide.
The model operates on the principle of supplying 220V electricity through an adapter that converts the current down to 12V. This current then passes through the module to the motor. The figure in the model is connected to the motor by a small stainless steel wire with rotating joints at both ends. When power is supplied, the motor rotates, simultaneously pulling the figure along. The speed of the figure can then be adjusted using the speed control knob on the module. Through this model, students gain a better understanding of the glorious history of the nation, especially the resounding victory of our army and people in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.
In Nong Cong district, to help patients take their medication on time, a team from Hoang Son Primary School and Hoang Giang Secondary School developed a "Smart Pill Box" model – a technological product designed to assist users in managing their daily medication regimen, especially for those who need to take medication according to a strict schedule, such as patients with chronic illnesses or multiple diseases. This is particularly useful for the elderly, those who are forgetful, or those busy with daily work. The "Smart Pill Box" model won second prize in the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth and Children's Innovation Competition in 2024.
Recognizing the important role and position of the "Youth Innovation" movement, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has recently developed an action program implementing many synchronized and specific solutions. These include focusing on promoting the vibrant "Young Innovators" emulation movement at all youth union branches, linked to the implementation of the "Every young person a creative idea, initiative, or innovation" campaign; and competitions such as "Technical Innovation," "Youth and Children's Innovation," and "Creative Ideas"... Through this movement, youth union members and young people have been encouraged to develop innovative ideas and initiatives, contributing to increased productivity, quality, and efficiency in learning, work, labor, production, and business.
In 2024 and the first quarter of 2025, youth union branches at all levels continued to implement Conclusion No. 02 of the Standing Committee of the Central Youth Union on solutions to promote creative activities among young people. The entire province organized 22 scientific research conferences, 125 scientific research projects by students and young lecturers; 12 models of support and counseling for learning and scientific research were implemented; 115 innovative initiatives and solutions in production and business, and 89 innovative initiatives and solutions in work and service to the people were implemented; 1,650 young talents were honored, and 20 young talents received training and support.
Alongside this, participation in digital transformation activities has been strengthened and effectively maintained by youth union branches, with over 4,000 community-based digital transformation groups; the rate of young people accessing digital skills enhancement activities has reached over 70%; and the use of online public services and electronic payment accounts by young people is becoming increasingly common. Digital transformation models such as: "Digitizing historical revolutionary sites, famous landmarks, and youth union activity bulletins on Zalo, Facebook, and YouTube platforms," implementing the "Food Map" model, "Cashless Weddings and Streets," "Smart Tourism using Virtual Reality," and "Online Volunteer Activity Registration"... continue to be developed and expanded. Notably, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has implemented two provincial-level projects to digitize historical revolutionary sites in the province. Organize a "Golden Bell" quiz competition to test knowledge of digital transformation among youth union members in 2024; coordinate with departments and agencies to organize an online quiz on digital transformation knowledge in 2024...
Despite the achievements, the number of innovative projects and models among young people in the province remains limited, with insufficient investment in new areas and a failure to fully utilize the potential and strengths of the province's youth. To ensure the "Youth Innovation" movement develops extensively and yields concrete and practical economic benefits, Provincial Youth Union Secretary Le Van Chau stated: Youth Union branches at all levels will continue to promote programs and movements for research and application of science and technology, and encourage technical innovation among young people, aiming to harness the youthful energy, creativity, and pioneering spirit of youth in building and developing a stronger and more prosperous homeland.
