Earlier, immediately after receiving information about the incident where a cargo barge collided with the Tam Bac Bridge (also known as the Quay Bridge) at 7:30 PM on July 6th, causing severe damage to the railway track on the bridge, Ha Hai Railway Company Limited quickly deployed repair and remediation efforts.

By 9:00 AM on July 7th, the basic repair work was completed and the railway tracks were realigned. At 11:30 AM, train LP3 from Hanoi to Hai Phong was able to cross the bridge, ensuring it arrived at Hai Phong Station by 12:00 PM as scheduled. The Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line has returned to normal operation.

According to a preliminary report from the Hai Phong City Traffic Safety Committee, a cargo barge with registration number NB-6450 was traveling from the Lach Tray River into the Dao Ha Ly River when it collided with the bridge deck under the Quay Bridge. The collision caused the Quay Bridge to deform, the railway tracks to be misaligned, and the barge's cab to be damaged. The City Traffic Safety Committee, the City Police, the Ha Hai Railway Company Limited, and other relevant units are continuing to investigate the incident.
