Tuyen Quang announces decision to grant amnesty to prisoners.

TPO - On the morning of June 1st, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the President's decision on amnesty for 2026 for eligible prisoners currently serving sentences at Detention Centers No. 1 and No. 2.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Provincial Police announced the President's amnesty decision for 2026. According to the decision, 9,950 prisoners nationwide will be granted amnesty; in Tuyen Quang province alone, 28 prisoners meet the criteria to benefit from the leniency policy of the Party and the State.

Colonel Hoang Trong Vy, Deputy Director of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police, presented the amnesty decisions to the individuals granted amnesty.

According to the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police, along with the management and rehabilitation of prisoners, detention facilities in the province have recently focused on organizing vocational training and equipping prisoners with labor skills to facilitate their reintegration into the community after serving their prison sentences.

During this period, Tuyen Quang College issued Decision No. 1370/QD-CDTQ recognizing the graduation and awarding certificates to 27 students of the K2 Vegetable Cultivation Techniques class, under the regular training system, at Detention Center No. 1 of the Provincial Police.

Completing the course equips trainees with additional knowledge and skills in agricultural production, while also opening up opportunities to find employment and stabilize their lives after returning to their local areas.

This is considered a result of the coordination between the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police and Tuyen Quang College in the education and rehabilitation of prisoners; contributing to improving the effectiveness of reintegration into the community, preventing recidivism and violations of the law.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Hoang Trong Vy congratulated the pardoned prisoners, emphasizing that this was a recognition of their efforts in rehabilitation and good compliance with regulations during their imprisonment.

The leaders of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police Department urged the inmates, upon their return to their localities, to continue to strictly abide by the law, actively engage in labor and production, stabilize their lives, avoid re-offending, and reintegrate into the community as soon as possible.
