Over the past period, various sectors, localities, and schools in the province have implemented numerous traffic safety awareness and education activities in diverse forms, suitable for different age groups. These range from extracurricular activities and dramatizations of traffic situations to law knowledge competitions and the "Safe Traffic Gate at School" model. Through these efforts, students have improved their awareness and learned how to protect themselves when participating in traffic.
For example, at Hoa Hong Kindergarten in Quang Ha commune, traffic safety education for children is implemented through many visual and engaging methods. In the thematic session "We and Traffic Safety" held last March, the children participated in performing arts, learned to recognize traffic signs and signals, and experienced situational games related to crossing the road and participating in traffic.
The classroom atmosphere is always lively with the laughter and excitement of the children. Traffic safety knowledge, which is often dry, is conveyed by the teacher through songs, dances, and short skits suitable for their age, making it easy for them to understand and remember. Ms. Hoang Thuy Duong, a teacher at Hoa Hong Kindergarten, shared: “At the kindergarten age, children learn best through images and real-life experiences. Therefore, the school tries to integrate traffic safety knowledge into daily play activities so that the children develop skills and self-protection awareness from an early age.”
Currently, 100% of educational institutions in the province maintain the dissemination of knowledge and skills to prevent injuries and accidents among children, especially traffic accidents; and also maintain the "Safe Traffic Gate at School" model. Coordination between schools, families, and society continues to be strengthened to manage and supervise students, promptly reminding and guiding them to comply with traffic regulations.

Not only the education sector, but also the police force is strengthening coordination with localities and schools to promote the dissemination of traffic safety laws to students. In the first five months of 2026, the Provincial Police organized training on safe motorbike driving skills for 15,372 students at 33 out of 62 high schools and vocational education institutions in the province; at the same time, they organized driving tests for 7,558 students who had reached the age of 18 as prescribed. Women's associations at all levels in the province also actively participated in disseminating information and raising community awareness about traffic culture. Since the beginning of the year, these associations have organized over 100 thematic talks, forums, seminars, and training sessions with the participation of nearly 8,000 members, women, and students to disseminate knowledge of traffic safety laws and safe driving skills.
In particular, during this year's Children's Action Month, many communication activities on accident and injury prevention, including traffic accidents, continue to be implemented synchronously at the grassroots level. Functional forces, organizations, and schools strengthen coordination to organize direct propaganda, distribute leaflets, and provide practical skills training to help children improve their ability to protect themselves when participating in traffic.
Along with schools and society, families play a particularly important role in shaping children's awareness of traffic laws. Parents' serious adherence to traffic laws, ensuring children wear helmets, and not giving vehicles to underage children are the most effective and practical lessons.
Raising awareness and improving traffic safety skills among children today is a practical step towards building a generation of civilized and responsible citizens in the future.
