The Platformer report doesn't detail how the conflict between the companies might be hindering Twitter's safety and trust team's operations. The report indicates that Twitter has been trying to renegotiate its contract with Google since at least March.
Twitter hosts some services on its own servers and others on Amazon and Google's cloud platforms, Platformer said.
In March, Amazon warned Twitter that it was suspending advertising payments because Twitter had not paid its cloud computing service bills.
Since its acquisition, Twitter has significantly cut costs and laid off thousands of employees. Mr. Musk has ordered the company to cut $1 billion in infrastructure costs, such as spending on cloud services.
