As of 10:00 AM, Vietcombank is quoting the euro buying price at 28,624 VND/EUR and the selling price at 30,192 VND/EUR, a decrease of 58 dong and 62 dong respectively compared to yesterday.
VietinBank also adjusted its rates down by 48 dong in both directions, buying at 28,958 VND/EUR and selling at 30,213 VND/EUR.
BIDV saw a slightly smaller decrease, falling by 7 dong on the buying side and 9 dong on the selling side, trading at 28,922 - 30,178 VND/EUR.
At Eximbank, the buying rate fell sharply by 66 dong to 28,881 VND/EUR, while the selling rate also decreased by 68 dong to 29,862 VND/EUR, the lowest among the surveyed banks.
Techcombank and Sacombank also recorded downward adjustments of 38-56 dong in both buying and selling rates.
HSBC lowered its buying rate by 59 dong and its selling rate by 62 dong, bringing the exchange rate to 28,785 - 29,901 VND/EUR respectively.
Overall, the euro buying rate at banks fluctuated between 28,624 and 29,018 VND/EUR; the selling rate ranged from 29,862 to 30,213 VND/EUR. Sacombank offered the highest euro buying rate, while Eximbank maintained the lowest selling rate.
On the black market, the euro increased by 33 dong in both buying and selling rates compared to yesterday, currently trading at 29,655 - 29,755 VND/EUR.
On the international market, the euro edged higher, trading at 1.13318 USD/EUR at 10:00 AM on May 8th, up 0.00303 USD from the previous closing session.
