Despite securing a place in the final after a comeback victory against U17 Australia in the semi-final, coach Cristiano Roland believes that the U17 Vietnam team still needs to keep their feet on the ground and continue to focus intensely on the final match of the tournament. "We still have a very important match ahead. The whole team needs to maintain high concentration and prepare as best as possible for the final," he said.
According to the Brazilian coach, the key factor in Vietnam U17's comeback was patience and perseverance. "We maintained composure and patience in our gameplay. That was the key to turning the tide against a very strong opponent like Australia," he emphasized.

Assessing their opponent, the U17 Malaysia team, coach Cristiano Roland noted that they will have undergone significant changes compared to their previous encounter in the group stage. “Malaysia will enter the final with a completely different form and mindset. Therefore, we need to prepare thoroughly and must not be complacent,” the Brazilian coach emphasized.
Previously, in the group stage, Vietnam U17 won 4-0 against Malaysia. However, given the nature of a final match, the rematch promises to be more tense and unpredictable.

According to the schedule, the final match of the 2026 Southeast Asian U17 Championship between Vietnam U17 and Malaysia U17 will take place at 7:30 PM on April 24th. The third-place match between Laos and Australia will be held at 3:30 PM on the same day.
