The group stage of the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship has officially concluded after 3 matches, with the Vietnam U19 women's team and the Thailand U19 women's team both securing 9 points to lead Groups A and B respectively. This result means that the two title contenders can only face each other if they both advance to the final.
In the final match of Group A, Vietnam U19 demonstrated overwhelming strength with a resounding 8-0 victory over Laos U19, while Myanmar U19 defeated Timor Leste 7-0. With three consecutive wins, an impressive goal difference of 16 goals scored and no goals conceded, hosts Vietnam excellently topped Group A. Myanmar U19 finished second with 6 points, securing the remaining spot in the semi-finals.

Vietnam's U19 women's team finished the group stage with three wins out of three matches.
In Group B, Thailand U19 solidified their position by defeating Cambodia 3-0 to maintain their top spot. Meanwhile, Malaysia U19's disappointing 0-4 loss to Indonesia saw them drop to third place with 3 points. Conversely, Indonesia rose to second place with 4 points and secured their place in the next round.
The semi-finals determined the four teams that would participate, with the pairings being U19 Vietnam against U19 Indonesia and U19 Thailand against U19 Myanmar.
The semi-final matches will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium on June 16th, with the home team's match starting at 6:30 PM.
In this tournament, the U19 Thailand team is the defending champion. The U19 Vietnam team has finished second for three consecutive tournaments, ahead of opponents such as U19 Thailand and U19 Australia.
With the home advantage this season, coach Okiyama Masahiko's players are expected to break the jinx of winning the championship at home.
