According to information from the Department of Trade Remedies, Ministry of Industry and Trade , recently, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC) under the Australian Ministry of Industry, Science and Resources has announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation (CBPG) on imported hot-rolled steel bars originating from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam.
Accordingly, the plaintiff, Infrabuild NSW Pty Limited of Australia, filed a request for anti-dumping investigation on the above products with HS codes: 7214.20.00; 7228.30.10; 7228.30.90 and 7228.60.10. The investigation period is from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.

The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC) has issued a Questionnaire for Vietnamese exporters. The deadline for responding to the Questionnaire is 31 October 2024.
According to the case schedule, ADC is expected to issue a Preliminary Conclusion on November 25, 2024 (subject to extension), issue a Report on Material Facts on January 13, 2025, and a Final Conclusion on February 26, 2025.
The Trade Defense Department recommends the Association and related manufacturing and exporting enterprises to do the following: Carefully study the Application Document, Initiation Notice and instructions and regulations; Cooperate fully and comprehensively to answer the Investigation Questionnaire, provide information as requested by ADC; Regularly provide information and exchange information with the Trade Defense Department to receive timely support.
