The goal of the University-Enterprise Alliance is to support and promote training and research, meeting the human resource needs of the semiconductor chip industry, thereby linking the "three stakeholders" in training, scientific research, and innovation to implement the Politburo 's strategic resolutions No. 71 and No. 57, and to deploy the "Program for the Development of Human Resources in the Semiconductor Industry until 2030, with a vision to 2050" (Decision No. 1017/QD-TTg).
This marks a new milestone, demonstrating the responsiveness and proactiveness of the University of Da Nang in meeting the demands for breakthrough national development.
Through proactive and decisive involvement, Da Nang University is collaborating with the city to implement the "Development of Semiconductor Microchips and Artificial Intelligence (AI)" project, aiming to make Da Nang a leading center for microchip design and AI applications by 2030.
According to the roadmap, Da Nang University and domestic and foreign corporations and businesses in the Alliance will expand their network of schools, institutes, and R&D centers to exploit and share resources (staff, facilities, laboratories, equipment, etc.); coordinate the training of core lecturers in semiconductor microchips; and actively participate in advising on policies for the development of the semiconductor chip industry.
The highlight of this ecosystem is the shared goal of mastering the technology for manufacturing and commercializing "make in Vietnam" chip products, leveraging opportunities and advantages to participate deeply in global production networks and supply chains.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, Rector of the University of Technology (Da Nang University), the university has recently been assigned to lead the Central Region AI and Semiconductor Technology Network for training 4.0 technology talents (according to Decision No. 374/QD-TTg).
Other member universities of the University of Da Nang participating in this network include: the University of Education, the University of Technology and Education, and the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology.
The University of Technology also participates in other networks such as: New materials, construction technology; Smart technology and advanced infrastructure; Renewable energy, hydrogen energy; Biotechnology - agriculture .
“Our students (Nguyen Van Thuong, Le Vo Nhat Minh, Dang Phuc Long) have just won the first ever ‘Vietnam Student Artificial Intelligence Olympiad’ organized nationwide by the Vietnam Informatics Association. This is a great honor, expanding opportunities to develop the potential of young people, continuing the tradition and experience of half a century of training and research of the school in engineering and technology fields serving the socio-economic development of Central Vietnam and the whole country,” said Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Le Hung, Rector of the University of Technical Education (Da Nang University), the university is reviewing and updating its semiconductor integrated circuit training program to meet the standards required by the Ministry of Education and Training.
The university is strengthening its ties with technology companies to develop more laboratories and practical training facilities for semiconductor chips with IoT systems, servers, and licensed software, aiming to soon establish a "Hub" for training packaging and testing personnel right at the first campus of the University of Technology and Education, which is conveniently located in the heart of the dynamic and developing city of Da Nang.
