Ensuring continuity

The recruitment of new Party members is one of the important tasks aimed at strengthening the fighting capacity and ensuring the continuity and development of the Party. In recent times, the Party Branch of Thanh Loc Secondary and High School has paid special attention to identifying and nurturing outstanding individuals among the masses, as well as providing political and ideological education for the younger generation. To achieve the target of recruiting new Party members for the 2020-2025 term, the Party Branch has directed its organizations and associations to develop plans to care for, train, and nurture young, dynamic, capable, and knowledgeable individuals to be recommended to the Party.

According to Tran Thi Thu Oanh, Party Secretary and Principal of Thanh Loc Secondary and High School, to create an environment for training and competition, and to inspire a spirit of striving and competition in learning and training among students, right from the time they enter 10th grade, the school has developed a plan and roadmap for identifying, nurturing, and creating a pool of potential Party members. After each semester, the Youth Union branches organize selections and propose outstanding individuals for the title of "Outstanding Youth Union Member" for the school's Youth Union to recommend to the Party branch for consideration. The Party branch then assigns Party members to mentor and assist these students in their efforts to become candidates for Party membership.

Having dedicated many years to planning and monitoring, and through activities to nurture "red seeds" for the Party organization, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of Thanh Loc Secondary and High School, Chau Van Hau, said: "To proactively and effectively create a source for developing new Party members, every year, the Party branch always focuses on selecting outstanding 11th-grade students who enthusiastically participate in the activities of the Youth Union and the school to attend Party awareness classes. In Party development work, the Party committee always adheres closely to the Party Charter, directives from higher levels, and strictly implements regulations, procedures, and processes, ensuring objectivity and democracy."

During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Branch of Thanh Loc Secondary and High School admitted 28 new Party members, including 25 students. In the 2024-2025 school year alone, 5 students had the honor of joining the Party – an impressive number for a local school. “The students admitted to the Party are all students with upright moral conduct, excellent academic results, and who have demonstrated outstanding performance during their time at the school,” said Tran Thi Thu Oanh, Secretary of the Party Branch and Principal of Thanh Loc Secondary and High School.

Nguyen Bao Tam, one of the newly admitted young Party members, shared emotionally: “Being admitted to the Party while still a high school student is a great source of pride for me. I will always remember the oath I took during the admission ceremony; it motivates me to live more responsibly and strive harder in my studies and in life.”

Throughout her middle school years and especially her three years of high school, Bao Tam was always an outstanding student in all areas, achieving excellent results in her studies and training, and actively participating in student union activities. Bao Tam said that in 10th grade, she and her classmates received training from the school on the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the exemplary figures of steadfast revolutionary fighters, combined with extracurricular activities at the Nguyen Van Thoi Historical Site. These experiences helped her to quickly determine her life goals and ideals, fostering a desire to contribute and develop her abilities and strengths. Her teachers also guided her on many useful topics.

For Duong Phong Dat, a young Party member who aspired to study and train in the military environment, being admitted to the Party at the age of 18 was an unforgettable milestone. This also motivated Dat to continue striving and working harder, gradually maturing to contribute to building and protecting his homeland. "I feel very honored, proud, and I also see my responsibility more clearly," Phong Dat expressed.

For Bao Tam and Phong Dat, the Party membership card is not only a source of pride, but also a well-deserved reward for their persistent efforts and idealistic lifestyle since their school years.

“In the work of training and admitting students into the Party, the Party branch has developed a plan and implemented it according to strict and serious procedures and standards. At the same time, we have reviewed students with aspirations and correct motivations for joining the Party, thereby selecting outstanding individuals to train and create a pool of potential candidates,” said Tran Thi Thu Oanh, Secretary of the Party Branch and Principal of Thanh Loc Secondary and High School.
