The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Korea Football Association have just signed a memorandum of cooperation for a new six-year period, emphasizing a strong cooperative relationship and opening up opportunities for broader development of football in both countries in the future.
In the area of tournament organization and management between V-League and K-League, South Korea will share its experience in tournament operation and management, match organization, facility management, and sports medicine. South Korea will create opportunities for officials, coaches, referees, and staff of the VFF and VPF to participate in training programs and professional workshops to enhance their professional skills and gain practical experience.
"The cooperation also includes the exchange of coaches, including coach training instructors working at youth football academies; the sending and exchange of football media and marketing experts to participate in tournaments and events; as well as the exchange of referees and referee instructors."
"Both sides agreed to facilitate the participation of AFC and FIFA Elite referees and assistant referees in officiating international friendly matches, and to coordinate the organization of advanced referee training courses in each country," the joint statement said.
Having a top-tier Asian league like the K-League would greatly benefit Vietnamese professional football, which is still in its infancy.

In addition, there will be training camps and exchanges between football teams, such as youth teams, women's teams, futsal teams, and national teams. The two federations will provide professional, logistical, and facility support when the teams organize training camps in each country, and will also facilitate the arrangement of friendly matches with quality opponents.
Youth teams and women's teams will also have more opportunities to participate in international friendly tournaments, exchange programs, and football festivals.
