Recently, the international scientific conference "Han Nom Inscriptions of Non Nuoc Mountain - Potential of Documentary Heritage" was jointly organized by the Ninh Binh Department of Culture and Sports, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, bringing together many domestic and international scientists and experts.

At the workshop, delegates discussed the possibility of documenting this system of inscriptions as a documentary heritage; proposed solutions for preservation and promotion of its value in conjunction with sustainable development and heritage education ; and suggested specific directions for protecting and promoting the value of the heritage in the current context.
The system of Han Nom inscriptions on the cliffs at Non Nuoc Mountain holds significant meaning in terms of history, culture, religion, beliefs, and literature and art.
Not only does it reflect the presence and development of Sino-Vietnamese literature in the ancient capital region, but it is also vivid evidence of the cultural, ideological, and religious exchange between many feudal dynasties over the centuries.
Of the 43 surviving rock inscriptions on the mountain, 37 are inscribed in Han Nom script, dating from the Tran Dynasty to the early 20th century. These include 9 inscriptions from the Tran Dynasty, 3 from the early Le Dynasty (15th century), 1 inscription from the Mac Dynasty (16th century), 4 from the Le Trung Hung Dynasty (17th-18th centuries), and the remainder from the Nguyen Dynasty.
This is a treasure trove of rich and valuable historical and literary documents, contributing to the verification and recording of historical events and figures associated with Non Nuoc Mountain and the Ninh Binh region...; it includes unique engraved copies of imperial poems and prose by kings, commemorative poems by poets, along with distinctive calligraphy and writing styles.

Some outstanding literary works include the Duc Thuy Mountain Linh Te Pagoda inscription , composed and carved by Truong Han Sieu on the side of Duc Thuy Mountain in the year Quy Mui, the 3rd year of Thieu Phong reign (1343) of King Tran Du Tong.
These are some of the most valuable rock inscriptions in the system of rock inscriptions in Vietnam; the "Imperial Decree" stele of Emperor Emeritus Tran Minh Tong, carved in the year Ky Suu of the Thieu Phong era (1349); the rock inscriptions of Ngo Thi Si and Ngo Thi Nham...
Through the workshop and research results of experts and scientists, the locality will absorb and finalize the nomination dossier for the Han Nom inscriptions of Non Nuoc Mountain for inclusion in the UNESCO Memory of the World Programme for Asia-Pacific region, ensuring accuracy, comprehensiveness, scientific rigor, and meeting the set requirements.
