People put money into the donation box at Vo Pagoda, Vo Luong village, Thong Nhat commune (Gia Loc).
According to Venerable Thich Thanh Van, Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Hai Duong province and abbot of Dong Cao Ancestral Temple in Tan Hung ward (Hai Duong city), in general, monks, nuns, Buddhists, and tourists visiting temples in the province maintain civilized behavior and preserve a green, clean, and beautiful environment.
Here are some photos taken by reporters from Hai Duong Newspaper at several temples in the province:
The space around Dong Cao Ancestral Temple in Tan Hung ward (Hai Duong city) is solemn and serene. Locals and tourists now light incense at the incense burners outside the temple, instead of lighting incense inside the temple as before. Do not put money in the hands of statues or scatter money on the altar. Venerable Thich Dieu Hien, abbot of four temples in Long Xuyen commune (Binh Giang district), distributed blessings to the people through Buddhist scriptures, Dharma teachings, the Great Compassion Mantra, prayer beads, and prayer-reciting machines, while also educating people not to break branches and to protect the environment. Pay attention to environmental cleanup. Phuc Nguyen Pagoda, also known as Ba Thuy Pagoda, in Long Xuyen commune (Binh Giang district), uses car tires... for decoration and to create photo opportunities. Village communal houses and pagodas have shaped the cultural and spiritual identity of the Vietnamese people in general and each rural area in particular.FINAL
