The price of SJC gold, as listed by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC), is 82.3-84.3 million VND/ounce, an increase of 500,000 VND in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous trading session. The difference between the buying and selling price is 2.0 million VND.

Today, DOJI lists the price of 9999 gold at 82.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 84.3 million VND/ounce for selling, a decrease of 100,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous closing session. The difference between the buying and selling price is 2.0 million VND.

Meanwhile, at Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of SJC gold at the time of the survey was listed at 83.5-84.3 million VND/ounce for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the price of SJC gold bars also increased by 10,000 VND/ounce for buying and remained unchanged for selling.

PNJ's listed gold price is 82.3-84.3 million VND/ounce, a decrease of 100,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous closing session.

At Bao Tin Minh Chau, gold prices are being traded at 82.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 84.3 million VND/ounce for selling, a decrease of 100,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous closing session.

Regarding the price of gold rings, SJC Gold and Precious Metals Company listed the buying price of 9999 gold rings, 0.5 tael and 0.3 tael, at 82.3 million VND/tael and the selling price at 84.2 million VND/tael, an increase of 500,000 VND/tael compared to the previous day.

The price of gold rings at Phu Quy Company is listed at 82.90-84.40 million VND/ounce, an increase of 600,000 VND/ounce; the price of SJC 999.9 gold rings also increased by 500,000 VND, currently trading around 82.30-84.10 million VND/ounce.

Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the price of plain gold rings was announced at 82.98-84.28 million VND/ounce (buying/selling price), a decrease of 120,000 VND/ounce compared to the previous closing price.

Thus, at the current price, the selling price of SJC brand gold and gold rings is now equivalent.

Spot gold prices edged higher on Monday, supported by short-closing activity following Friday's weekly losses amid the Federal Reserve's cautious stance on interest rate cuts over the next year.

Spot gold prices rose 0.2% to $2,626.44 per ounce as of 03:13 GMT. US gold futures fell 0.1% to $2,642.10.

The Fed's 25-basis-point interest rate cut on December 18, coupled with cautious remarks on economic forecasts and expectations of smaller cuts in 2025, pushed gold prices to their lowest level since November 18 last week.

Ajay Kedia, director of Kedia Commodities, Mumbai, said: “We are heading into the holiday season and gold is mainly supported by buying to offset selling that started last Friday and also some technical support.”

On Friday, gold prices rose due to a weaker US dollar and higher Treasury yields as US economic data suggested inflation would slow.

Data released on Friday showed that monthly inflation in the United States slowed in November after little improvement in recent months. The personal consumption expenditures (PCE) index rose 0.1% last month after an unadjusted 0.2% increase in October.

San Francisco Federal Reserve President Mary Daly and two other Fed policymakers said on Friday they felt the central bank would likely continue cutting interest rates next year but would slow down as the “adjustment period” had ended.

The Russian central bank kept its key interest rate unchanged at 21% on Friday, much to the surprise of the market. High interest rates reduce the attractiveness of non-yielding gold bullion.

Meanwhile, COMEX gold speculators cut their net long positions by 16,251 contracts to 203,937 in the week ending December 17, data released Friday showed.

Kedia said, "I see good support for gold at $2,595 and resistance at $2,664."

Spot silver prices rose 0.7% to $29.72 per ounce and platinum prices increased 1% to $935.47, while palladium prices rose 0.2% to $922.31.
