The journey is nearly 100 km long, of which more than 80 km is continuous steep passes. When the car climbs to an altitude of 1,750 m and the fog begins to thicken, you are close to Mu Cang Chai town. In the middle of the pass, there is a flat land where visitors can stop and enjoy Tu Le sticky rice, a famous specialty of the region. The second direction is along the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway, through Sa Pa, O Quy Ho pass, then to Tan Uyen and Than Uyen ( Lai Chau ) before reaching Mu Cang Chai.
