Tra Que vegetable village sits entirely on an island, with half of it bordered by the winding Co Co River and the other half by rice paddies and irrigation canals. Rarely can you find a place where, within such a small space, local people have created a renowned vegetable crop and a professional tourism community that attracts international visitors.
Tra Que vegetable village is over 300 years old and is closely associated with the formation and development of the ancient town of Hoi An. Since being designated a tourist attraction, Tra Que has become a favorite destination for international visitors, especially European tourists.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tra Que is awaiting the moment of honor with the "Best Tourist Village in the World" award recognized by the World Tourism Organization. This title will contribute to attracting more tourists and spreading the aroma of Tra Que vegetables further into the world.
