The judges scored the final round paintings of students from Na Tau Secondary School.

By participating in drawing, students are free to create according to their emotions and thoughts. Although they are just simple thoughts, they are full of messages about protecting the environment, making the world greener and cleaner.

The first prize winning painting of Luong Minh Thu, a student of class 8C3, Na Tau Secondary School, with the theme "Joining hands to protect the environment". The painting depicts young people holding hands and unanimously protecting natural forests from human-caused disasters such as forest fires, waste, and air pollution. Through the painting, the message that Luong Minh Thu wants to send to the contest is that "each natural tree has its own life, which is even more meaningful when each of us joins hands to protect the green, clean, and beautiful forest environment".

“Before destroying a tree, plant a forest” is the message that Quàng Văn Trọng, a student of class 8A2, Na Nhan Secondary School, sent in his drawing. With contrasting images in a work that makes viewers think about the current situation around them. If half of the picture is a scene of the earth warming to an alarming level, forests being cut down, burned for farming... then the other half is the image of a peaceful, poetic earth covered in the green of forests and trees. The picture with vivid strokes, accompanied by a good, meaningful story about environmental protection has left a good impression on viewers.

Although only limited to a competition, the students' paintings conveyed many meaningful messages about protecting the living environment, inspiring in each person the awareness and determination to act for the green planet. The meaning of the works created by the students had a positive impact on the thinking of students, teachers and participants of the program, thereby transforming into actions for the whole society to join hands in protecting the environment.

Teacher Tran Minh Hai, Principal of Na Tau Secondary School, shared: This is a useful activity that students enthusiastically participate in, demonstrating their talent and passion for painting. Each painting is truly a meaningful message that students send to their families, relatives and friends about protecting the living environment. More importantly, from this contest, students have a fuller and deeper awareness as well as specific actions to change their own actions and the community to join hands in protecting the living environment.

323 paintings submitted by students from grades 6 to 9 after nearly 1 month of implementation showed students' interest in forest protection and the living environment. The entries expressed content related to forests, the meaning and beauty of forests; students' views, feelings and thoughts on forest protection and development; dreams and necessary actions to protect forests and wildlife; messages calling on everyone to protect nature and conserve biodiversity. At the end of the contest, at each school, the Organizing Committee selected the 3 best works to award first, second and third prizes. In addition, at each school, the Organizing Committee also awarded 10 consolation prizes to the authors.

Mr. Tran Xuan Tam, Deputy Director of the Provincial Forest Protection and Development Fund, said: At the age of secondary school students, the students have expressed creative and unique ideas about the environment. That proves that they are very interested in environmental protection. The entries not only show the students' views, feelings and thoughts about forest protection and development, but also their dreams and necessary actions to protect forests, protect wildlife and messages calling on everyone to protect nature and conserve biodiversity. Through the contest, we aim to enrich and diversify the forms of propaganda and dissemination of the policy of payment for forest environmental services in the province. At the same time, raise awareness, understanding, create positive influences in thinking and transform into actions spreading to friends and relatives of each student to contribute to protecting and developing forests.
