Visitors can learn about the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh in Binh Thuan through the thematic photo exhibition "It's as if Uncle Ho is with us".
These days, the atmosphere of the old school by the Ca Ty River becomes solemn yet deeply moving as people from many localities flock to this "red address" associated with the time President Ho Chi Minh lived and taught there before leaving to find a way to save the country.
From early morning to late afternoon, numerous groups of visitors continuously flocked to the historical site to perform rituals, participate in political activities, embark on a pilgrimage to the roots, and offer incense in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh. Among them were groups of students; veterans silently lighting incense sticks in remembrance of Uncle Ho; and families bringing their children to visit and learn about the nation's history. Many could not hide their emotion upon witnessing firsthand the place where Uncle Ho lived and taught during the particularly important period before the historic journey of 1911.
According to historical documents preserved at the Duc Thanh historical site, in September 1910, the young Nguyen Tat Thanh arrived in Phan Thiet and joined the teaching staff at Duc Thanh school when he was just 20 years old.
As the youngest of the seven teachers at the school at that time, Mr. Nguyen Tat Thanh was in charge of the second grade, teaching physical education and sports , and assisting in teaching Vietnamese, French, and Chinese. Mr. Nguyen Tat Thanh loved his students very much and enthusiastically instilled in them love for their homeland, their ancestry, and thoughts about the nation's destiny.

The Ho Chi Minh Museum in Binh Thuan (Phan Thiet ward, Lam Dong province) is a destination rich in traditional educational value for many young generations.
The time spent in Phan Thiet was also a period when he studied books and newspapers, exploring progressive ideas of humanity to prepare for his historic journey to find a way to save the country. In his free time, teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh tended to the plants in his garden. He also learned from local fishermen how to catch fish, determine direction at sea, and how to prevent seasickness when traveling by ship…
More than a century has passed since the young Nguyen Tat Thanh left Duc Thanh High School to go to Saigon to seek a way to save the country. The ancient school building, the shady trees, the old well, and many artifacts associated with the time he lived and taught there, such as the sleeping quarters, the fishing house, the lecture desks and chairs, the bookshelves, the wooden resting platform... are still carefully preserved. In particular, the starfruit tree in the schoolyard, once cared for by teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh, remains lush and green, bearing fruit year-round, becoming an image that evokes many emotions for visitors.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Vu, from Ho Chi Minh City, said: "What moved me most when visiting the historical site was the simplicity of the space where Uncle Ho lived and worked. The journey to visit the place where Uncle Ho taught before leaving to find a way to save the country holds special significance on his birthday. Through each artifact and the stories preserved, I feel more clearly the radiant personality and the simple yet great life of President Ho Chi Minh."
Ms. Le Ngoc Quynh, from Dong Nai, shared her feelings: Coming here, she felt like she was slowing down amidst the tranquil, peaceful, and solemn atmosphere of Duc Thanh School. This was an opportunity for her to reflect on the nation's history, to better understand the great sacrifices of President Ho Chi Minh, and to remind herself to live more responsibly towards her homeland and cherish the values of peace today.

The reclining seat where Uncle Ho used to read and study documents is preserved intact at the Duc Thanh historical site.
Not only is it a place preserving artifacts and documents related to the time President Ho Chi Minh stayed and taught before embarking on his journey to find a way to save the country, the Duc Thanh historical site is also a destination rich in traditional educational value for many young generations.
For Pham Thi Cam Duyen, a student at Phan Thiet University, receiving the title of "Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" at the university level right at the Duc Thanh historical site was a special and deeply moving honor.
Cẩm Duyên shared: "Standing amidst the space preserving the footprints of President Ho Chi Minh, I understand even more deeply the simple life, the great sacrifice, and the burning desire for national independence that he dedicated his entire life to pursuing. These values have further strengthened my will and determination, fostered patriotism, and instilled in me the desire to contribute my youthful energy to my homeland."
During the month of May, the high volume of visitors makes the reception and service at the historical site even busier. However, the staff of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Binh Thuan still strives to meticulously prepare the necessary conditions to serve the people and tourists.
Within the historical site grounds, the trees are meticulously trimmed and cared for; artifacts and exhibits are inspected and neatly arranged. The tour guides, dressed in formal attire, review their presentations and prepare solemn incense-offering rituals to serve visiting groups. The bustling yet warm atmosphere of responsibility from those working in conservation has left a positive impression on visitors from near and far.

The "red address" of Duc Thanh attracted many officials, Party members, Youth Union members, students, and tourists who came to visit and offer incense in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of his birth.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Nga, Head of the Professional Services and Interpretation Department at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Binh Thuan, said that during the annual commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the number of visitors coming to the historical site to pay respects and offer incense increases significantly. Although the work is somewhat more strenuous, the museum's staff feel happy and proud that more and more people are coming here to remember Uncle Ho. This not only shows the widespread influence of historical values but also reflects the deep affection and gratitude of the people towards President Ho Chi Minh.
From the beginning of the year until May 19th, the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Binh Thuan province is estimated to have welcomed approximately 850 groups of visitors, totaling over 55,200 people. This includes 237 international visitors from countries such as the UK, South Korea, Germany, Russia, and Switzerland. Besides sightseeing and offering incense, the museum also organized a thematic exhibition, "As If Uncle Ho Were With Us," featuring 100 valuable documentary photos about the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh; and a program for Vietnamese youth to follow in Uncle Ho's footsteps.
