Speaking at the ceremony, General Director of May 10 Than Duc Viet said: In the journey of nearly 8 decades of construction and growth, May 10 has had many turning points, constantly innovating and creating. The leadership through generations has made bold steps, the right strategies, raising the position of May 10 to become a leading enterprise in the Vietnamese textile and garment industry, with great prestige in the international textile and garment market and for many consecutive years, May 10 has been honored with the title of National Brand.

Today's success of May 10 is thanks to a process of building and nurturing by previous generations of leaders.

Many officers and employees of May 10 still remember the historical stages of the company. That was in the late 90s of the last century, the proportion of exports to the European, American, Japanese and Korean markets of May 10 was constantly increasing. These are markets with high requirements and very strict inspection processes regarding product quality. The Board of Directors and Management of May 10 determined that in order to develop sustainably and have a foothold in the market, it is necessary to have its own direction, make key investments and have its own strategic products.

Entering the early years of the 21st century, when it had gathered all the elements of technology and human resources, May 10 chose a difficult challenge: Conquering the peak of the garment industry with the Veston product. This was a bold and groundbreaking decision, opening a new and promising chapter in the company's history. Not only did it achieve the goal of diversifying products in competitive conditions, but it also realized the accelerated investment program of the Vietnamese textile and garment industry, following the roadmap to join the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Determined to improve production capacity, May 10 sent two groups of experienced managers and technical staff to Nha Be Garment Company to learn and master the most modern veston sewing technology. Thanks to the special attention of the then Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Vu Duc Thinh, with his innovative thinking and vision for the future of the two companies as well as the Vietnamese textile and garment industry, the technology transfer process took place smoothly with support from Nha Be Garment in all aspects.

To bold decisions

May 10's first veston factory on an area of ​​1,560 m2 was built by May 10 in December 2003, with initial support from Nha Be Garment Corporation and Mitsui Group - Japan, with a capacity of 250,000 products/year.

In 2004, with an average workforce of 398 people, the first veston factory in Hanoi produced 198,000 products, exported 103,992 products, meeting quality requirements to the Japanese and US markets.

In October 2004, Veston 2 Factory was established on an area of ​​1,950 m2 , with a capacity of 200,000 products/year.

During the process of developing and expanding production capacity from Veston Factory 1 to Veston Factory 2, May 10 has continuously improved management, research and innovation in production to enhance the quality of new products with many new designs.

In 2008, Veston Factory 1 and Veston Factory 2 were merged into Veston Garment Zone 10.

Not stopping at the strategy of reaching out internationally, processing and exporting to the European and Japanese markets in the early stages, with the desire to bring Vietnamese brands closer to Vietnamese people, since 2005, the company has focused on researching and providing a set of samples and product specifications of vestons suitable for Vietnamese people, finding solutions to best serve the needs of the domestic market.

A big step forward was marked on October 18, 2008 with the opening of the first high-end tailor shop at the company headquarters: 765A Nguyen Van Linh, Hanoi, opening a new era for high-end tailoring services in Vietnam.

Mr. Than Duc Viet added: One year after manufacturing according to foreign orders, in 2005 May 10 successfully researched and tested a set of samples and size charts that best fit Vietnamese people of all ages. This is an important basis for Veston May 10 to dominate the domestic market and conquer Vietnamese consumers.

From selling only ready-made suits, in 2008 May 10 pioneered the field of tailoring for customers. May 10 suits have become the first choice of politicians, businessmen and fashion lovers. With the luxurious May 10 Centurion showroom system, providing high-end tailoring services, customers will receive the perfect suit within 2 weeks.

Now, May 10 can complete sewing products in about 6-8 hours. Currently, many large corporations and businesses have chosen the uniform vest sewing service at May 10 to enhance their image and brand.

Faced with that opportunity, May 10 drastically expanded the production scale of veston factories. With the trust of Vietnam Textile and Garment Group, in 2010, May 10 was assigned to directly build and operate the production of Vinh Bao Veston Production and Trading Enterprise (Hai Phong).

In 2013, May 10 continued to invest in expanding the veston factory at Thieu Do Garment Company Limited (Thanh Hoa) and especially in 2011, inaugurated the Hung Ha High-Tech Trade and Production Center, with a total investment of 350 billion VND over two phases, marking a strong step forward in the Vietnamese fashion industry.

Up to now, after 20 years, May 10's exported veston output has reached nearly 24 million products with a value of nearly 250 million USD. The current veston output and revenue has increased 14-16 times compared to 2004 .
