Attending the meeting were representatives from the VFF leadership, including Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Vice President, and Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – General Secretary of the VFF. Representing the Licensing Committee were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Ngoc Vien – Head of the Licensing Committee, and Ms. Nguyen Thi My Dung – Deputy Head of the Licensing Committee.
Many VFF leaders were present at the important meeting.
Following the meeting, the VFF announced the decisions for the upcoming season: “Licenses have been granted to 4 clubs to participate in the National Championship for the 2024-2025 season, including: Becamex Binh Duong Club, Ho Chi Minh City Club, SLNA Club, andSHB Da Nang Club.”
Conditional licenses have been granted to 8 clubs to participate in the National Championship for the 2024-2025 season, including: Nam Dinh Club, PVF – CAND Club, Hanoi Police Club, Hanoi Club, The Cong – Viettel Club, Ha Tinh Club, Quang Nam Club and LPBank HAGL Club.
The VFF also granted conditional licenses with penalties to four clubs to participate in the 2024-2025 National Championship season: Hai Phong Club, Dong A Thanh Hoa Club, MerryLand Quy Nhon Binh Dinh Club, and Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club.
However, the VFF also added the following conditions for the Hai Phong and Binh Dinh teams: “For Hai Phong Club and MerryLand Quy Nhon Binh Dinh Club, they must submit documents proving they meet the financial criteria (F.04) no later than July 15, 2024. After this deadline, clubs that do not complete the dossier will have their licenses reviewed and revoked by the Licensing Board.”
Teams that have qualified for the 2024-2025 season have been notified.
Khánh Hòa Club has been notified that it is ineligible to participate in the 2024-2025 season.
Most regrettably, following the meeting, the VFF (Vietnam Football Federation) had to announce that it would not grant Khánh Hòa FC a license to participate in the 2024-2025 National Championship. The reason is that the team did not meet the A-level criteria regarding finances and facilities. After already being relegated from the V-League in the 2024-2025 season, this is certainly another piece of bad news for Khánh Hòa FC.
Currently, all teams have received the VFF's decision. "Clubs that are granted licenses with penalties or those that are not granted licenses have the right to appeal to the Licensing Appeals Committee before 24 hours on June 21, 2024," the VFF further announced.
