On the afternoon of May 23, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) organized an award ceremony for the national women's team and U5 Vietnam after the 22nd SEA Games.
With the achievement of successfully defending the Gold Medal, the Vietnamese women's team was awarded a total of 3,6 billion VND from VFF. Meanwhile, U22 Vietnam was awarded 2,4 billion VND when winning the bronze medal in men's football.
The Vietnamese women's team has now focused again to prepare for the 2023 World Cup final, so coach Mai Duc Chung and all members of the team are present.
U22 Vietnam was disbanded so that the players could return to serve the club, so only a few representative members attended, coach Philippe Troussier was absent.
At the 32nd SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's team finished the group stage with the first place in Group A after two victories (3-0 against Malaysia, 3-1 against Myanmar) and a loss (1-2 against the Philippines). In addition to 3,6 billion VND bonus from VFF, coach Mai Duc Chung's army was also rewarded by Thaco Group and Phong Phu Company with one billion VND each.

U22 Vietnam entered the semi-finals of the 32nd SEA Games with second place in Group B after 3 wins (2-0 Laos, 3-1 Singapore, 2-1 Malaysia) and a draw (1-1 Thailand).
In the semi-finals, coach Troussier's army lost to Indonesia with a score of 2-3 even though they played more than people from the 60th minute. In the third place match, Vietnam U3 defeated Myanmar with a score of 22-3 to win the bronze medal. .
