According to plan, the Vietnamese team will begin gathering from August 23.
Que Ngoc Hai was called up to the Vietnam national team.
However, due to the nature of V-League 2023, the team will be divided into two gatherings, 5 days apart.
The earliest group to gather includes 4 players: Que Ngoc Hai (just left SLNA), Nguyen Tien Linh ( Binh Duong ) with Nguyen Tuan Anh and Dinh Thanh Binh (HAGL).
All 4 of these players are in the relegation race teams, having finished the 2023 V-League.
Meanwhile, the remaining group of more than 20 players from the championship-racing teams will begin regrouping from August 28.
The four players who gathered early will join the Vietnam U23 team led by coach Troussier.
This will be an opportunity for the U23 players to interact and learn playing experience from their seniors in the national team.
In previous gatherings, the French strategist also let the U23 and the Vietnamese team gather at the same time.
Through the training process, Mr. Troussier will promote U23 players with impressive performances to the national team.
This not only helps to add new high-quality faces to the team, but also creates competition for the players.
During the upcoming FIFA Day, the Vietnamese team will have a friendly match with Palestine on September 11 at Thien Truong Stadium.
