(Dan Tri) - Normally, in late Autumn and early Winter, the weather in the North is dry and sunny. However, this year the cold air comes early, it rains a lot, causing the phenomenon of dampness earlier than every year.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that due to the cold air mass continuing to weaken, the North has maintained a state of light rain and high humidity (humidity phenomenon) in recent days, and this weather state will last until November 11.

It is forecasted that due to the strengthening of cold air, around November 13-14, the North will turn cold at night and in the morning. During this time, the humidity in the North will decrease.

Although it is only the first days of winter (the beginning of winter this year is November 7), the North is already damp and humid, with high humidity causing condensation and dampness on floors, walls, furniture...

The leader of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that normally the weather in the North is sunny in late autumn and early winter, but this year the cold air came early and it rained a lot. Over the past two days, many people have felt damp.

For the past two days, it has been raining lightly all day in Hanoi and many places in the North, with the highest temperature around 28 degrees Celsius and humidity above 80%.

Leaders of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that every year this humid phenomenon occurs from late winter to early spring (around February to April of the solar calendar).

At this time, due to the impact of the cold air mass weakening from the East, combined with the Southeast wind of the maritime air mass encroaching, bringing moisture from the sea to the mainland, creating humidity.

The Hydrometeorological Agency said that from the night of November 9 to 11, the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, cold at night and in the morning, and in some mountainous areas, cold. Around November 13 to 14, there is a possibility of cold weather at night and in the morning due to the influence of a strengthening cold air mass.

The area from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh will have scattered rain and showers on the night of November 9-11. The area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will have rain in some places. Around November 14-15, there is a possibility of scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms.

Other areas are forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially in the Southern Central Highlands and the South in the afternoon and evening of November 9-10.

The Hydrometeorological Agency said that in November, there is a possibility of 2-3 storms or tropical depressions appearing in the East Sea, of which 1-2 are likely to affect mainland Vietnam.

It is forecasted that in November, cold air will continue to increase in frequency and intensity.

In addition, in the provinces from Ha Tinh to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa in November, there is a possibility of widespread heavy rains. In the West of Lam Dong province and the Southern region, there will be many days of showers and thunderstorms, in which some days there may be moderate to heavy rain.

The hydrometeorological agency also warned that dangerous weather phenomena such as thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind may continue to appear nationwide in November.
