[Video] Vietnam - Laos strengthens science and technology cooperation, promotes digital transformation

On October 1, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and the Lao Ministry of Technology and Communications held the fourth bilateral meeting, focusing on discussing solutions to deepen cooperation in science and technology and digital transformation.

The two sides acknowledged the results achieved in operating a joint laboratory on data and disaster communication, supporting early warning; coordinating training of high-quality human resources with scholarship programs, student exchanges; promoting research on big data and cloud computing, towards building a National Center for Data Storage and Cloud Computing in Laos.

On that basis, the two sides agreed to complete the project of the Disaster Data and Communication Center, and at the same time expand cooperation in science and technology policy, innovation, startups and attracting high-tech investment.
