ABU Robocon 2024 will take place from August 23-27 at the Quang Ninh Provincial Sports Complex (Dai Yen Ward, Ha Long City). Thirteen outstanding teams will compete, creating a vibrant and professional atmosphere. Vietnam will have two representative teams, one from Hung Yen University of Technology and Education.
This year, Vietnam is hosting the "Asia- Pacific Robocon" creative competition.
With the theme "Harvest Day," the competition promises to deliver exciting and creative matches, while also celebrating the value of traditional agriculture , especially rice cultivation on terraced fields, a distinctive feature of Vietnamese culture. Participating robots will have to perform tasks simulating the rice planting process, from sowing seedlings to harvesting.
According to Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television (VTV) , representing the organizing committee, this is an opportunity for Vietnam to showcase its image to international friends, while affirming Vietnam's position in the field of technology as well as its professionalism in organizing and promoting international events. To date, VTV has meticulously carried out all tasks related to organizing and preparing for the competition.
The entire ABU Robocon 2024 competition at the Quang Ninh Provincial Sports Complex on August 25th will be broadcast live on VTV2 and livestreamed on the Facebook social media platform VTV2 Quality of Life .
The ABU Robocon 2024 event is not just a competition, but also an opportunity for young people to interact, learn, and share experiences.
According to the television production team, the program has completed its script and has fully prepared its team of reporters and editors to produce a 6-hour live broadcast. The team has also planned for documentary material about the 13 teams from 12 countries and territories participating in the competition, with content interspersed between matches.
VTV 's young and dynamic team of presenters, including Tran Ngoc, Khanh Vy, Phi Linh, and Hong Phuc, will serve as a bridge between the audience and the national team.
Notably, this year's competition by VTV utilizes augmented reality (AR) technology, which combines virtual elements into the real-world environment of the competition arena, creating a novel and interactive experience for television viewers.
ABU Robocon 2024 is not just a technology competition, but also a testament to the development of science and technology and the creativity of the younger generation, of technology-loving students in the Asia-Pacific region.
