In a dynamic learning environment, with the support of the Youth Union and Student Association, students are increasingly proactive, confident, and capable of developing their abilities and asserting themselves through academics, scientific research, and social activities, contributing to spreading a positive image of the city's youth.

Taking care of students

Over the years, the Youth Union and Student Association of Da Nang University have implemented many practical programs and activities, focusing on students. This serves as a foundation for students to study and develop with peace of mind.

Dr. Do Le Hung Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union and President of the Student Association of Da Nang University, said that the association is very concerned about the spiritual and material well-being of students. Through cultural, sports , volunteer, life skills, and psychological counseling activities organized in coordination with other organizations, the association creates a healthy living environment, helping students balance their emotions, reduce stress, and develop comprehensively.

In addition, the association proactively connects with social resources to support students in difficult circumstances. Every year, it provides bus tickets for disadvantaged students to return home for Tet (Lunar New Year), introduces job opportunities, and offers career counseling, contributing to stabilizing their lives and guiding their future. This Tet, according to plan, the Youth Union and Student Association of Da Nang University will donate 200 train and bus tickets worth a total of 40 million VND to support students returning home for Tet.

Furthermore, the association, along with its affiliated youth organizations, has implemented many practical solutions to support students in overcoming difficulties, especially those with special circumstances who have excelled academically despite hardship. Besides proposing and recommending policies on scholarships, tuition fee reductions, and financial support, the Student Association of Da Nang University mobilizes social resources and strengthens connections with businesses to implement social welfare programs, promptly encouraging and rewarding outstanding students.

Most recently, the Youth Union and Student Association of Da Nang University awarded over 100 scholarships, totaling more than 200 million VND, to support students affected by the 2025 floods.

Along with focusing on student well-being, the Youth Union and Student Association of Da Nang University promote academic activities, scientific research, and innovative entrepreneurship, fostering a spirit of learning and dedication among students. The Association collaborates in organizing academic events and recognizing outstanding individuals and projects. Simultaneously, it implements numerous scholarships and support programs to help students focus on their studies and develop their abilities.

Prominent among these are the "Student Idea Breakthrough - Grab The Beyond" and "Technology Startup for Students" competitions, which have been held annually for five consecutive seasons (from 2021 to the present)... attracting the participation of a large number of students in the city. This also serves as a foundation for nurturing projects to participate in national-scale competitions.

According to Dr. Do Le Hung Toan, through the "Five Good Students" movement, scientific research, innovative entrepreneurship, and volunteering, many students have the opportunity to hone their skills, affirm their abilities, and mature comprehensively.

This academic year, Da Nang University has 23 students recognized as "Excellent Students" (including 1 "Outstanding Excellent Student"), 6 "Excellent Student Groups", 4 individuals receiving the "January Star" award at the central level (including 1 "Outstanding January Star"); 118 "Excellent Students" (including 69 "Outstanding Excellent Students"), 10 "Excellent Student Groups", 7 individuals and 4 models receiving the "9/1 Award" at the city level; 310 "Excellent Students", 10 "Excellent Student Groups" at the Da Nang University level…

In addition, the association selected and awarded the "White Bird" prize to 15 individuals and models/initiatives in 3 categories: "Nurturing Bird"; "Passing on the Torch" and "Creative Bird," for individuals and groups with solutions, initiatives; outstanding achievements over many consecutive years; innovative startup projects, and scientific research topics that have won awards from the University of Da Nang level or higher and have high practical application.

Dr. Do Le Hung Toan assessed that students at Da Nang University are increasingly showing clear transformation and maturity year after year, especially in their proactive, creative, and integrated spirit. Students proactively propose ideas, develop projects, participate in scientific research, entrepreneurship, and in-depth volunteer activities closely related to their majors. The number of students achieving the "5 Good Students" title, having scientific research topics, entrepreneurial projects, and achievements at the city, national, and international levels is increasing, showing a shift from "participation" to leading and spreading values, ready to integrate and better meet the demands of society in the new era.
