According to the Vietnam National Tourism Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), in the first six months of 2024, Vietnam's tourism industry welcomed over 8.8 million international visitors and served over 66 million domestic tourists, an increase of nearly 60% compared to the same period in 2023.

The Vietnam National Tourism Administration's updated figures for the first four months of 2024 (the peak season for international tourism is from September of the previous year to April of the following year) show that the number of international visitors to Vietnam ranks third in Southeast Asia, after Thailand and Malaysia. This indicator brings significant revenue to the tourism industry. Specifically, while revenue in the first six months of 2023 reached VND 343,100 billion, it increased to VND 436,500 billion in the first six months of 2024 – much higher than the VND 338,200 billion recorded in the first six months of 2019 (before the Covid-19 pandemic).

The Thanh Nien (Youth) special issue, celebrating National Day on September 2nd, features a selection of beautiful images of Vietnam from all regions of the country.
