VinFast leaks another new car, this time an upgraded VF 5?

On social media, test drive images of an SUV bearing the VinFast logo continue to attract attention. Judging by its overall size and design, many predict this could be an upgraded version of the VF 5 SUV.

After attempting to convert the leaked images and apply wraps to the actual rendered car, we can see that the "unusual" car from VinFast possesses many familiar yet unfamiliar features compared to the current VF 5.

For example, in terms of size, the wrapped model closely matches the VF 5 in both dimensions and style. However, the new car has been slightly modified in the placement of the main headlights, and even the rear spoiler is slightly different in length.

The taillights on the new version appear to be positioned higher, helping to balance the overall look of the car. The rear wheels have also been increased in size, looking quite similar to the wheels of its older sibling, the VF 6.

Earlier this year, the Industrial Property Gazette No. 454 also featured images of a new VinFast model registered with a design and dimensions quite similar to the VF 5.

Therefore, it is highly likely that during the last two quarters of this year, VinFast will continuously announce upgraded versions of its current electric vehicle models.

Currently, the VinFast VF 5 is the third best-selling electric vehicle in the market from VinFast, with sales reaching approximately 13,404 units in the first four months of the year. The car has a listed price of around 529 million VND, but is frequently offered with promotions, bringing the selling price down to around 455 million VND.

Continuously refining design details and increasing wheel size based on user feedback not only helps this A-segment SUV maintain its appeal but also serves as a strategic weapon to solidify its top-selling position in the market.

Faced with increasing competition from the influx of affordable foreign cars, an improved version of the VF 5, with a more balanced and modern appearance, promises to continue being a "golden goose," maintaining the top position of the Vietnamese domestic car manufacturer.
