Vinh Long resolves obstacles for Thanh Phong wind power project.

On the afternoon of May 20th, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province, chaired a meeting to hear reports related to compensation and support within the safety corridor of the Thanh Phong Wind Power Plant project's wind turbine towers, and the results of noise sampling for the project.

On the afternoon of May 20th, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province, chaired a meeting to hear reports related to compensation and support within the safety corridor of the Thanh Phong Wind Power Plant project's wind turbine towers, and the results of noise sampling for the project.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Quynh Thien delivered a directive speech at the meeting.

Phase 1 of the Thanh Phong wind power plant, invested by Ecowin Energy Joint Stock Company, is being implemented in Thanh Hai commune, Vinh Long province. To date, the project has completed the demarcation of the safety protection corridor for the wind turbine towers on the ground, as per the contract signed between Ecowin Energy Joint Stock Company and the Land Development Center. Simultaneously, an inventory of assets within the affected area has been completed, reaching approximately 92.4% of the total affected land parcels; some cases remain unaccounted for due to the absence or relocation of landowners.

At the meeting, the investor's representative presented the difficulties, obstacles, and legal basis related to the delay in providing support and resettlement for the remaining households. The company requested the Provincial People's Committee to grant them more time to work with the legal consulting unit to consider the responsibilities as proposed by the departments and agencies; and committed to promptly send a written response to the Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Quynh Thien agreed with the investor's proposal and affirmed that Vinh Long province always creates favorable conditions for businesses to invest and develop. Any issues arising during the project implementation will be considered and handled by the province in coordination with the business, in a spirit of harmonizing interests and in accordance with the law.
