Vinh Thanh commune was formed by merging three communes: Sao Dai Viet, Lung Hoa, and Tan Phu. In the context of both consolidating the organizational structure and facing numerous difficulties, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Vinh Thanh commune have focused on leading socio-economic development, building cultural life, and creating a foundation for a new phase of development.

Like many localities, Vinh Thanh commune has a rich and diverse system of cultural institutions and festivals. Each festival has its own unique characteristics and values, linked to the traditional customs of each region and village, and is revered and preserved by the people. Currently, the commune has 13 pagodas, 12 communal houses, 7 temples, 2 shrines, and 5 Catholic churches; many of these structures have been classified at the provincial and national levels. These are not only places of religious activity but also contribute to the preservation and promotion of the local traditional cultural values. Many distinctive traditional cultural features are preserved, with festivals held throughout the commune, organized seasonally, and historical relics effectively preserved and promoted.

Many festivals have become famous, serving the spiritual needs of the people and attracting tourists from all over to visit and worship, such as the Duong Temple Festival, dedicated to Dong Hai Long Vuong - the 25th son of Lac Long Quan and Au Co. The festival takes place from the 12th to the 15th of the 5th lunar month every year. Notably, Duong Temple still preserves 14 royal decrees from the Canh Hung era (1745) to the Khai Dinh era (1925), along with a genealogical record clearly documenting the temple's legends and history. Visiting Duong Temple, tourists not only satisfy their spiritual tourism needs but also admire its ancient, sacred, and majestic beauty.

The Ngòi Temple Festival is dedicated to General Lê Thị Ngọc Trinh, who helped the Trung Sisters fight the invaders. The festival is held twice a year: in early spring (January 4-7) and on September 9-10 of the lunar calendar. The ceremony includes a procession and solemn rituals to honor the female general. The festival features unique activities such as the procession and the "Hú đáo" game, a ritual associated with Lê ​​Thị Ngọc Trinh. Notably, the festival's cuisine is centered around Ngõa cake (a specialty of Lũng Hòa commune), a traditional cake offered at the temple. The festival is a typical cultural event, contributing to the preservation and promotion of spiritual and cultural values, attracting a large number of people and tourists.

In addition, the commune also hosts festivals such as the Hoa Loan Temple Festival, the Nam Temple Festival, and the Dong Temple Festival. These are places of worship dedicated to the female general Le Thi Ngoc Trinh, taking place from the 4th to the 8th day of the first lunar month. The festival is associated with the tug-of-war tradition, with the participation of hundreds of people, a unique cultural feature that has been maintained for many years, attracting a large number of local people.

Following directives from the province and the Department of Culture, Vinh Thanh commune has focused on reviewing, consolidating, and effectively utilizing its system of cultural institutions and religious establishments. This has gradually met the needs of religious beliefs and community life, contributing to improving spiritual life and promoting socio-economic development.

Comrade Dang Van Linh - Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee and Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department, said: After completing the merger of administrative units, the commune has compiled a report reviewing and assessing the current state of management, use, and exploitation of cultural and sports facilities, religious and belief establishments in the area. At the same time, it has proposed that relevant agencies continue to improve management mechanisms and policies; support investment resources for upgrading cultural facilities and places of worship; develop a comprehensive plan for the network of cultural and sports facilities for the period 2025-2030; and promote socialization and mobilize resources from the people to preserve and promote cultural values.

With a synchronized, proactive, and practical approach, Vinh Thanh commune is gradually building a modern and effective system of cultural, sports, and religious institutions; contributing to improving the spiritual life, strengthening national unity, and creating a solid foundation for sustainable development in the future.
