Deputy Director of the Quang Nam Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) - Mr. Tran Canh Ha said that Tam Thanh bridge is one of the items of the Quang Nam Province Adaptive Integrated Development Project.

This is a bridge across the Yangtze River, considered an important highlight, so it was agreed to organize a competition to select a separate architectural plan.

The organizers said that the contest did not have a first prize. The second prize, which was also the highest award, was awarded to the project “Moon on the River” by VTCO Investment Company Limited.

At the ceremony, the investor highly appreciated the selected plan, congratulated the unit and awarded the second prize with a reward of 80 million VND.

Representative of the design consultant - architect Tran Quang Nam shared that the design of the "Moon on the River" project was inspired by the peaceful beauty of the Truong Giang River, a river that flows parallel to the sea, carrying within it a quiet, gentle look.

The image of the bridge like a moon reflected on the water surface was chosen as an architectural symbol - soft, graceful, in harmony with the landscape of the Tam Thanh river and sea area.

The main idea of the project is the image of three intertwined circles, symbolizing the North - Central - South, expressing the spirit of national solidarity, and evoking the association of blue sky - blue land - blue sea, creating a harmonious ecological space, close to nature.

The design not only serves traffic but is also a new artistic highlight that locals and tourists will immediately recognize as Tam Thanh - Tam Ky.

Tam Thanh Bridge is located on the extended National Highway 40B, in the old Tam Thanh commune (now Quang Phu ward). The bridge and approach road start at the Tam Thanh intersection (Vo Chi Cong street), and end at the intersection with Thanh Nien coastal street.

The investor added that the "Moon on the River" project will continue to carry out procedures to implement the project in the coming time.

It is known that VTCO Investment Company Limited recently received the Second Prize in the competition for planning and architectural design of Hoa Xuan bridge intersection cluster, Da Nang City (Le Thanh Nghi - Cach Mang Thang Tam - Thang Long intersection - Hoa Xuan bridge access road).

The company is also a consultant for architectural solutions for railings, lighting poles, and bridge nameplates for An Binh Bridge (crossing Vu Gia River) and Song Thu Bridge (crossing Thu Bon River) in the former Quang Nam province.

The Quang Nam Province Integrated Adaptive Development Project has a total investment of more than VND 2,722 billion, equivalent to 113.39 million USD. Of which, ODA loan from the World Bank (WB) is about 76.57 million USD.

The investment scale includes: Dredging the Truong Giang River with a total length of 60km; building embankments at locations at risk of bank erosion; Tam Ky City flood drainage complex; building bridges across the Truong Giang River (6 new bridges, restoring 1 residential bridge).

Tam Thanh Bridge (one of 6 newly built bridges) crosses the Truong Giang River with a minimum width of 16m, meeting a minimum of 4 lanes, and a design speed of 80km/hour.
