The documentary "Seeds of Happiness" recounts Vietnam's journey of transferring special rice varieties, including the CT16 variety, to Cuba – a brotherly country that has always stood shoulder to shoulder with Vietnam during its most difficult times. More than just an agricultural activity, it is a vivid testament to a rare friendship: Vietnam received support from Cuba during the war years, and today, these very rice grains become a bridge bringing hope, prosperity, and happiness to the Cuban people.
This is one of the important directives from the Party and State leaders aimed at supporting Cuba in ensuring food security during this challenging period, using Vietnamese rice varieties directly grown by people of both countries on Cuban soil.

Through the story of the rice grain, the film portrays Vietnam not only as one of the world's leading rice exporting countries, but also as a nation rich in compassion, ready to share knowledge and experience to build a prosperous and happy life with international friends.
Mr. Jorge Legañoa Alonso, Vice President of the Cuban Institute of Information and Social Communications, emphasized: "The simultaneous broadcast of VTV's special documentary by Cuban National Television is not only a media activity, but also a vivid testament to the loyal and pure relationship between the two nations. This is a precious spiritual gift on the occasion of the important anniversary of the Vietnamese people."
With its direct, emotionally rich cinematic storytelling, and meticulous investment in visuals, music , and documentation, "Seeds of Happiness" promises to bring audiences a moving, humane, and meaningful experience this National Day.

According to Nguyen Duc De, director of the VTV special "Seeds of Happiness ," the film has no narration, but tells its story through images, sounds, and emotions. Each grain of rice, each smile on the farmer's face, is a simple yet profound message. Diplomacy sometimes doesn't need a stage; it only requires trust and sincere sharing.
