In the video, Dan Thy maintains an optimistic spirit. She explains that shaving her head is a preparation step before starting chemotherapy. Despite facing many changes in her appearance and health, the TikToker tries to maintain a positive mindset to fight the disease.

On May 19th, Dan Thy attracted attention when she posted a video announcing her leukemia diagnosis at the age of 23. On her TikTok channel, which has over 11 million followers, she tearfully shared that she had maintained an unhealthy lifestyle for a long time, such as frequently staying up until 6-7 am, drinking a lot of bubble tea, and barely drinking water for many years.

She revealed that at one point she drank 4-5 glasses a day continuously for about 3 years. "I almost never drink bottled water," Dan Thy shared in the video.

The female TikToker stated that she didn't consume alcohol or stimulants, so she thought she was still healthy because she was young. This complacent attitude led her to pay less attention to her health and neglect maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

It wasn't until she received her leukemia diagnosis that Dan Thy reflected on the long period of stress her body had endured due to an unhealthy lifestyle. Despite the major shock, she said she tried to maintain an optimistic spirit to continue her treatment.
