The case of illegal tourism promotion in Da Nang: Male TikToker speaks out

(NLDO) – The owner of the TikTok channel "Where is Tuan going" admitted his mistakes and hopes for sympathy and support so that he can continue to spread beautiful images of Da Nang City.

On June 5, speaking with Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. L.D.AT (owner of the TikTok channel "Where is Tuan going") shared his thoughts on the case of promoting illegal tourism on his Facebook and TikTok platforms.

According to Mr. T., at the time of filming the clip, he was taking a group of friends from Hue City to Da Nang for a trip. Having watched previous squid fishing clips, he had no doubts and decided to contact the service owner to book a squid fishing trip for the whole group.

Currently, the promotional clips and experiences of illegal squid fishing at Son Tra peninsula have been removed by the channel owner.

" The video posted about the night squid fishing tour is a personal experience and I paid for it myself, it is not a paid advertisement clip" - Mr. T. affirmed.

Mr. T. said he was very regretful and apologized to the online community for not verifying the legality of the service before promoting it. "After the press reported it, I realized I was wrong so I immediately removed the clip. At the same time, I contacted the service owner and was shocked to realize that this was an illegal tour, an illegal tour," Mr. T. explained.

At the same time, the owner of the TikTok channel "Where is Tuan going" committed that in the future, when carrying out activities to introduce, promote or advertise services, he will pay special attention to the legality before posting clips.

"I am a person who loves Da Nang city very much. The clips I post are all aimed at spreading positive tourism images of the city. I hope the authorities and the public will sympathize, love and create conditions for me to continue my career" - Mr. T. expressed.

Previously, as reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, social networks Facebook and TikTok were flooded with videos of experiences and advertisements for night squid fishing services on Son Tra Peninsula, Da Nang City.

Among them, the TikTok channel with the blue tick "Where are you going Tuan" with more than 291,000 followers also participated in posting clips promoting this type of service. This is a famous TikToker, specializing in posting clips of experiences, reviews of tourism and services in Da Nang City.

The representative of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches confirmed that this is spontaneous tourism, an illegal service tour. Currently, the Management Board has not granted a license for this type of night squid fishing experience.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City said that they will verify and coordinate with security forces to trace the video (even though it has been deleted) and handle it in accordance with legal regulations.
