Thanh Xuan NCT Folk Dance Club was established to meet the needs of many elderly people in the commune who are passionate about arts, physical education and sports ; especially folk dance. At the same time, it contributes to improving health, helping the elderly live happily and healthily. Since its establishment, the members of the Club have always been active and enthusiastic in practicing every day. The Club has created joy as well as increased vitality for its members, so gradually many new members have joined.
Previously, before the club was established, the elderly in the commune participated in activities and practiced at the Ly Van Lam Commune Elderly Association's Health Club, chaired by Ms. Nguyen Thu Nguyet. Thanks to that, many members of the club are now proficient in dances and are increasingly skilled. To facilitate the practice and activities of members who love folk dance; with the consensus of the Ly Van Lam Commune Elderly Association, the Thanh Xuan NCT Folk Dance Club was established and officially launched on April 9, 2023.

When the Club was first established, it had 13 members, with a 3-member Executive Board chaired by Ms. Nguyen Danh Du. During its operation, the Club consolidated its Executive Board and changed its Chairman. Currently, the Club has a total of 35 members; the Executive Board has 3 members, with Mr. Ly Khai as the Chairman. Club members practice regularly at 2 locations (Tai Loc and Hoang Tam Areas, Ly Van Lam Commune, Ca Mau City).
In recent times, the Club has actively participated in performances, exchanges, and events organized by the province and city with the content of practicing art, dance, folk dance, and health care; praising the glorious Party, beloved Uncle Ho, praising the traditions of the elderly, praising the homeland and country, etc.
In addition, the Club has also built a fund of 20 million VND. The fund covers expenses for exchanges, visits to members, ... especially the Club has 10 members participating with the Executive Committee of the Elderly Association of Ca Mau City and the Voluntary Charity Association of Ca Mau Province.
Mr. Ly Khai, Chairman of the Thanh Xuan Elderly Folk Dance Club, said: The above results were achieved first of all thanks to the deep concern of the People's Committee and the Elderly Association of Ly Van Lam commune, creating favorable conditions for the club to operate; the guidance of the Ly Van Lam commune health club and other clubs; the solidarity of all members helped the club stand firm until today; and more specifically, the Executive Committee of the Elderly Association of Ca Mau city regularly monitored and helped the club in each step of its growth.
Through the Thanh Xuan NCT Folk Dance Club, it is an opportunity for members who are members of the NCT association to exchange, learn experiences, demonstrate solidarity, and improve their collective living skills. At the same time, it is a healthy playground for the NCT to show their talents and improve their health, creating a bridge to connect, arouse and develop the cultural and artistic movement of the NCT of Ly Van Lam commune.
