The film "Cheer Up, Guys!" revolves around the story of a group of thirty-year-old friends, Tien, Thang, and Hung, who haven't become close yet. Their failed entrepreneurial ventures have left their family and friends disappointed and critical of their friendship.

All three were determined to build successful careers together to prove their worth to the world. That journey was far from easy, especially since they lacked talent and money...
Through their trials and tribulations, they realize they have many shortcomings, and that people's perceptions of them aren't necessarily prejudiced. And beside them are the women who always stand by their side. There's Thu, Tien's pragmatic, sharp-tongued but loving wife and father; and Nhung, money-obsessed, smooth-talking, but generous and righteous...

"Cheer up, guys!" affirms self-worth, the power of friendship, and also the value of faith, encouragement, a positive lifestyle, and a civilized perspective each person has towards those around them, the community, and society.

The film has many humorous and witty situations. Photo: VFC
Having made his mark with humorous films like "The Way to the Flowery Land" and "Don't Make Mom Angry," director Vu Minh Tri once again brings his witty storytelling style to the film "Cheer Up, Brothers!". The situations in the film are not melodramatic or heavy, but bright and lighthearted. Events are resolved quickly and continuously, aiming to provide the audience with a film full of cheerful atmosphere.
What also brings freshness to the film is that the director trusted actors who are taking on leading roles for the first time to play the "thirty-year-old" group.
Tô Dũng plays Hưng, a taciturn, short-tempered character who is easily angered. Anh Đức embodies Tiến, a glib and boastful guy. The final piece of the puzzle is Thái Sơn as Thắng, a naive and stuttering young man.
Meritorious Artist Thai Son said that, true to its title, the film "Cheer Up, Brothers!" was filled with laughter throughout the filming process.
“Anh Đức made me laugh a lot. Just looking at Anh Đức's face made me laugh. Tô Dũng also laughed along with me. Sometimes I had to go outside and do push-ups, pluck leaves… or ask the director to yell at me to stop laughing. But the director said, 'If you're still laughing, how can you yell?'” Thái Sơn said.

Beloved after "Meeting You on a Sunny Day," Anh Dao underwent a transformation in appearance when she took on the role of Thu in "Let's Cheer Up, Guys!". The actress dyed her hair blonde to embody Thu – Tien's shrewish wife who constantly scolds her husband. Sharing about the challenging role, Anh Dao said: "I always want to change myself through each role, even if it means making myself look unattractive. Thu is a girl who has to work hard to earn money to support her family, so appearance has to be put aside. This hairstyle makes me look older, but it also helps to avoid a significant age difference when acting alongside Anh Duc, as he is a generation older than me."
The girls accompanying the trio are also some of the most beloved faces recently. Among them, Anh Đào dyed her hair blonde to portray Thu – Tiến's shrewish wife. Hương Giang plays the scheming Ánh. And Huyền Thạch portrays Nhung – the daughter of a tough single mother.
Anh Đào also said that she was "charmed" by her co-star because Anh Đức is very lovable and easygoing, and the two of them talk to each other very casually. The actress believes that playing a husband and wife in a humorous family scene requires trust and comfort between the two, otherwise the improvisation will fall apart. Anh Đào admitted that she is "plain," so playing the wife of a comedian was very difficult for her.

Anh Đào and Anh Đức star together in the film.
The film also features many veteran actors such as Meritorious Artists Ngoc Tan, Duc Khue, Linh Hue, and actor Anh Tuan.
"Cheer Up, Guys!" will air on VTV3 at 9:40 PM every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, starting July 8th.
