According to the report presented at the conference, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 has organized and implemented the guidelines of the General Political Department and the Political Department of the Coast Guard on the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. The unit has developed and issued guidelines on propaganda, security protection, and a plan for implementing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term throughout the entire Command of the Region.
Simultaneously, a decision was made to establish Election Team No. 7 at the headquarters of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, headed by Colonel Tran Hong Que, Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2, and to report the list of voters participating in the election at the headquarters of the Coast Guard Region up to January 12, 2026, to Nui Thanh commune in accordance with regulations.
Speaking at the election planning meeting, Colonel Tran Hong Que requested that agencies, units, and members of the Election Committee recognize that the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term is a key and very important political task, requiring a high level of consensus in understanding and action, and a heightened sense of responsibility; focusing their efforts and intellect on effectively directing and implementing all preparatory work to successfully organize the election according to the established schedule.
The organization assigned specific responsibilities and tasks to agencies, units, and individual members of the Election Committee; and promptly reported any difficulties arising during implementation. Emphasis was placed on close coordination and cooperation with relevant units and localities to ensure that all officers and soldiers of the unit participated in the election in the 7 polling areas and 11 polling stations in accordance with regulations.
Simultaneously, ensure the availability of relevant infrastructure, strengthen propaganda efforts focusing on the significance of the election, the rights and obligations of citizens; the voting process and security and safety measures before, during and after the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
