On the AK submachine gun shooting course, exercise 1, each soldier calmly performed the prone firing position, taking aim, adjusting their breathing, and then decisively pulling the trigger. Under the rising outdoor temperature, beads of sweat continuously rolled down their faces, but this did not diminish the concentration of the new recruits. At the end of the first round of the test, Private Le Hoang Quan, a soldier from Company 9, Battalion 6, was delighted to receive flowers from his unit commander to congratulate him on his excellent shooting performance. The encouraging applause from his comrades on the training ground further boosted the morale of the entire unit.

Private Le Hoang Quan shared: “Through the previous shooting sessions, I have gained a lot of experience, especially on how to hold the gun steady, regulate my breathing, and stay calm when pulling the trigger. Therefore, today, entering the official test, I felt more confident and was very happy to achieve a good shooting result.”
To gain confidence on the training ground, the 19th Regiment has maintained strict training discipline, focusing on training from basic to advanced levels, from segmented to comprehensive. Officers at all levels directly monitor the training ground, guiding and correcting each movement for new recruits, especially those with difficult or potentially unsafe techniques.

First Lieutenant Phan Viet Hung, Company Commander of Company 9, Battalion 6, said: “For new recruits, when practicing exercises involving live ammunition, explosives, or grenades, they are often initially nervous and tense. Therefore, during training, our officers constantly provide close support, encouragement, and meticulous guidance on each basic movement, while maintaining repeated practice sessions for each segment to ensure the soldiers master the movements and enhance their psychological resilience.”
Besides improving training quality, the regiment places special emphasis on ensuring safety, especially in the current hot weather conditions. The unit has proactively adjusted training schedules accordingly, ensuring sufficient drinking water, medicine, medical equipment, and contingency plans for handling situations on the training ground. In addition, the unit coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, and youth union members to organize the "Training Ground Refreshment Program" before and during inspections. Cool drinks, fruit, and heartfelt encouragement boosted the morale of the soldiers before the inspections.

Following the AK submachine gun shooting exercise (lesson 1), the soldiers proceeded to the grenade throwing and explosives handling tests. Despite the strenuous physical activity and harsh weather conditions, the soldiers maintained their determination and performed the exercises correctly. Many soldiers achieved good or excellent results in all three tests, demonstrating significant progress after nearly three months of military training.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Luong, Commander of Regiment 19, emphasized: "Strictly adhering to the training motto 'basic, practical, and solid,' with practice as the main focus, the unit emphasizes training in segments, strengthening the courage and psychology of new recruits when practicing with live ammunition; at the same time, maintaining officers closely monitoring the training ground, guiding and correcting each movement of the soldiers."
At the conclusion of the "three explosions" inspection, Regiment 19 achieved good results, ensuring absolute safety for personnel and equipment, with many aspects achieving excellent ratings. This result further affirms the quality of new recruit training in the unit, contributing to raising combat readiness and meeting mission requirements in the new situation.
