Previously, Luong Van Vui's family mainly grew corn and cassava, resulting in low economic efficiency and unstable income. In 2018, with access to capital from the Social Policy Bank and his savings, he invested nearly 200 million VND to plant 1 hectare of V2 oranges and green pomelos; he proactively participated in technical training courses, researched effective models in and outside the locality, and joined the Nam Et Agricultural Service Cooperative to receive guidance on cultivation, pest control, and product distribution.
Mr. Vui shared: "Through training courses, I have applied VietGAP procedures to crop care, using fermented manure and increasing the use of organic fertilizers. As a result, my family's fruit orchard is thriving, yielding a stable output of nearly 10 tons of fruit per year. The produce is purchased by traders inside and outside the province at prices ranging from 20,000 to 30,000 VND/kg, providing a stable income for my family."
Besides growing fruit trees, Mr. Vui continues to expand his livestock farming model towards commercial production, maintaining a herd of 15 sows and pigs for meat, selling two batches per year, each batch consisting of about 15 pigs, along with 2 buffaloes and 15 goats. Utilizing agricultural by-products as feed significantly reduces input costs and improves production efficiency. Notably, in March 2025, he continued to invest in building barns and developing a model for raising 12 spotted deer to harvest antlers and develop breeding stock. This is considered a new direction to increase family income. Thanks to the synchronized implementation of various production models, after deducting expenses, his family's total income reaches over 300 million VND per year.

Evaluating the effectiveness of the model, Mr. Luong Van Bua, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Muong Sai commune, said: "Mr. Luong Van Vui's integrated economic model is a suitable approach for the local sloping land conditions, effectively utilizing policy loan capital. The model has brought stable income to the family and created motivation for many households to learn from it, develop the local economy, and gradually reduce poverty sustainably."
From a struggling household, Mr. Luong Van Vui's family has now become a relatively well-off family in the village, with the means to expand production, stabilize their lives, and provide for their children's education. Recognizing his efforts in economic development and crop restructuring on sloping land, in 2025, Mr. Luong Van Vui was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial Party Committee for his outstanding achievements in labor and production.
